Food was good enough, prices were reasonable too but the service was painfully slow. For a restaurant that had no more than 10 tables from what I saw it shouldn't have taken so long to get food out. Guess the kitchen was short staffed on the day we came.

Called in for Sunday lunch for 4 people, we had pre-booked which was just as well on an Easter Sunday as the place was full. They have two sittings - 12.30 and 14.30 - we had opted for the 14.30 and it seemed that, as everyone had arrived more or less together, the staff were a little disorganised as all... More

Good selection of food on the menu, nice friendly staff. Good bit small beer garden out the back. Can be very busy at times. Good car parking. It is a short walk from caravan park. Good value for money.

What a gem! Small quaint friendly local pub with a restaurant a short walk from Trecco bay holiday park with lots of character. Good home cooked food, good portions and same price as Trecco bay park restaurant but much better food especially the home made curry. Would definitely recommend but do book.

I booked this place after checking out TA. We had walked past it in the day and I thought it needed a lick of paint outside but when we went in I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly and obliging and we enjoyed the meals we had which I have to say were very reasonably priced at less than a... More

Lovely local pub with a roaring wood fire in the bar where we had a drink before going into the well presented restaurant area for a meal. Service was good and the Food was very nice and reasonably priced. Overall a pleasant evening.

The Jolly Sailor, Porthcawl produces a very good Sunday Roast, served by friendly and efficient Staff. There are two sittings, 12.30 and 14.30 with the choice of Welsh Beef, pork, and Lamb, roast potatoes and a platter of perfectly cooked veg, peas, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower and mash! Gravy comes as standard, though the mustard and the apple sauce were forgotten... More
