Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Whoever gave 4.5 or 5 must have come from a famine stricken region. Food was average. Unfortunately when staying in the old city many restaurants close at 5.30 or 6.00 so choice is limited. On a plus side the lady waitresses were excellent, they are...very attentive, helpful & have excellent senses of humour. Without them, probably 2. Food was inexpensive. No English menu. 5 couples were English speaking without a knowledge of Spanish.More

Good choice of food, friendly waiters, summer garden, sit inside with the fire in winter. Try the duck with berry sauce, and on weekdays there's a good menu del did lunch.

We came across this place whilst out shopping in Orgiva and decided to give it a try. Great eating space of the road and really helpful courteous staff. The green salad was amazing but the clincher for us was the tuna. It was by far the...best tuna i have ever had, so much so that we had to go back the next night for seconds for me and so that my partner Dave could try it for himself. The staff even provided Dave with a plate of cheese even though it wasn't on the menu. Can wait to return next year for the great service and the fabulous food. We totally recommend that you try it.More

Please dont forget to order the goat cheese salade and watch out for the orange trees. The garden is lovely and in june the oranges fall out trees once an hour! Inside is even better :). Authentic decoration.

We stumbled upon this restaurant because it was one of the only things open during siesta, which was when we arrived, and we were SO happy we did! It was mostly seating in a big outdoor courtyard! The waitress and waiter were SO lovely and...very patient with our minimal Spanish! The food blew our minds and it was so cheap!! The meals were so simple but everything was AMAZING!!!! Could not recommend this place highly enough!More

I’m a tough critic and I cannot recommend this place enough. We came as a group of 12, our food arrived together. I ordered a micuit duck which is a half cooked foie gras and it was just perfectly prepared. The lamb skewers were also...really nice. The staff is absolutely 5 stars too, very nice and good at what they do. Really happy with this place and also, in case you are worried about the outdoor terrace, they have an indoor seating area.More

Had a wonderful meal here during our stay in Orgiva. The pizzas are gorgeous and a really good size. I also tried the chicken and chips with salad which was delicious. We returned during our week stay as food was lovely and reasonably priced and...you can sit outside in the lovely town square enjoying the eveningMore

Located past the church heading downhill on the left you come across La Almazara. Tables and seating are spread out on a stoney area, trees and large patio shades offer a cosines and it feels very relaxed. There is also an indoor area. The staff...were very nice, happy and smiling. The menu had English translation. Full bar also available. Pizza is the main focus however there were plenty of other choices too. You never felt cramped at all such is the space outside. The service was good, not rushed or overbearing. Our food was well presented, tasty and well priced. Overall a good place for an evening meal in Órgiva.More

Nice restaurant and friendly staff. Food certainly good - popular with Spanish and international tourists but latter - especially English - can be bit loud. So if looking for a typical Spanish atmosphere then don't go looking for it here.

Nice venue, great jazz live music when we went (wednesday night), very tasty pizzas... but extremely slow service, count 1h30 for pizzas, not cool with young children...

A large shingle area with occasional orange trees has a relatively large number of tables reasonably spaced apart. There is a small children's play area although it is located near the main gates that lead onto a main road. In summer there has been a...3 piece group playing jazz & improvised music which adds a great atmosphere. The range of food should suit most people and all seem excellent. We went several times and between the 8 of us tried a large selection of dishes, none of which was poor. Portions, especially starters, are large. Staff & service are also excellent. Many Spanish use the restaurant but in the summer the vast majority of clients are tourists. Highly recommendedMore

My wife and I visited tonight, as we have been before and it wasn’t to the normal standard. I ordered lasagna and tbh it was made with white sauce 80% and runny, they even gave me a spoon to aid eating. Well that didn’t happen...and we won’t be visiting again.More
