Had lunch with family (kids 8 and 5). Wide selection of good food, from reindeer to hamburger. Kids loved it, too. Only negative thing was opening times; it was a long wait until 12 noon (we usually have lunch at 11:30).

We stayed in an appartment with breakfast in the hotel. During our stay we ate in Pirtti twice (not to be confused with Pirkon Pirtti, which is a different restaurant at the other side of town) and in the Kota on wednesday. The dinner in the lappish hut was a nice experience. As far as the food went, is was... More

We spent a week staying at the Gielas Hotel, which is linked to this one, on a half board basis. We had to have our evening meals in this hotel. The first meal we had was downstairs and was very good. Drinks were very expensive with a bottle of wine costing E39 upwards. The beers were very good and included... More

Beautiful food, lots of recognisable food got the less adventurous, always a selection of burgers and chips for the truly unadventurous send an amazing selection of local speciality dishes. The salmon was incredible - 5 varieties on the buffet one day. My children are very happy to try anything and they loved the food here, so did the adults. It... More

Spent 2 nights / 3 days here the week before Christmas with my wife and son. The hotel is ok, we were half board and the food was ok, no complaints. The drinks were expensive but we knew that they would be. My son loved being in the snow, he would have quite happily played in it for the entire... More

The meal here was VERY good and the salmon in particular was excellent. We had a buffet meal and it was constantly refreshed.

Dinner was tasty and Laplandish, vine list fairly limited, Lunch pizza was tasteless (too little tomato?). Service was smooth.

Stayed in this resort in the month of march 2016 for a period of two nights. the rooms were very spacious and had an excellent sauna attached to the bathroom. There was also further provision to cook food in the room and had a lovely view of the scenery outside. The ski slope was very close by and a sheer... More

We stayed in a self catering appartment in the Kontio building opposite the main hotel and only had breakfast in the restaurant. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay. The appartment was a touch on the austere side for my taste but that's how the Finns like them and it's not a major criticism. It was clean and had what you... More
