Definitely 1. The only good thing was our waiter. Served nice and kind. Food terrible, super bad meat, cooked very bad. All the food came cold without taste. Only chips were warm. And super expensive food, not worth what you get.

What a pleasant surprise! The setting, the staff and the food, all excellent! Special mentions: king crab soup had just the right acidity to balance the crab and cream flavor; the parsnip dessert was a first to us. Very imaginative!

Loved this place so much, the food was astonishing, combining traditional finnish dishesh with hints of artistic & culinary pieces. Definitely worth the visit, if not even for the service!

Delicious, inventive menu served with beautiful presentation and welcoming, friendly staff. The restaurant was nicely decorated, lots of interesting pieces to view, very comfortable chairs. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We visited this restaurant during Easter and I really recommend the place! I'ts a high class restaurant offering quality food in a very beautiful and relaxed atmosphere. As a main course I had "Snow Grouse and Goose textures" - Grouse breast, confit leg, goose rillette,...arancini, parsnip vanilla purée, jus. It was delicious!More

Service was excellent. The lady who served us had high expertise, gave good recommendations and was well available. All three courses were delicious and portions were of right size. The only poor experience was caused by the fireplace; the smell of smoke was too strong.

We visited Petronela on Valentine's Day. Not very crowded. Good explanations about the menu by very friendly personnel. The winter grouse and goose combination was absolutely delicious. Nice and cosy ambience - felt like visiting friends at their home.

Petronella is a really nice place to just sit down, enjoy a glass of wine and eat good quality food. I had the daily veggie dish which was one of the better ones I've ever had, sadly can't remember the ingredients but I do know...it was really, really good. For dessert I had the cloudberry panna cotta, and for me the liqueur on the dish was a bit much compared to other flavours on the dish. I told this to our lovely waiter, who had delivered the message to the chef and they told me they would try some other options and maybe change the menu if something better came up. That was really nice, and I feel like my feedback was truly appreciated.More

We have visited Petronella before, and had very high expectations. We ordered king crab soup and cheese salad as starters. My husbands soup was a bit too salty, otherwise good. My salad was very nice, with a fresh taste coming from a berry sauce. Both...of us had as main course goose and willow grouse mix. The grouse was mayde a tad too raw, and the goose a tad too well done. However, the problem with the portion was that there were too many different things mixed in. It was like a tasting menu on one plate. Some might see this as an advantage, but we found it a little confusing.More

An excellent place! Restaurant is very cozy and charmful. Service was friendly and the food was fantastic - my main course was sauteed reindeer that tasted so good. Try this place while in Saariselkä!
