Very nice cabin serving coffee tee, warm juice and delicious bakery in beautiful area. Important breake place during the gross country skiing. Friendly people and good service.

Skiing in the beautiful surroundings of Saariselkä there are only a few places where you can buy a coffee and snacks. Luulammen kahvila is one of these places, and we made our day skiing trip plans including this place. Getting very disappointed. Prices are very...high, but in spite of this the coffebread was not fresh, but at least 1-2 days old. As they are far out in the wilderness there are no mobile connections why only way to pay is in cash. This is not in itself a problem, but as they do not bulk up with enough change money it gets problematic, especially as they are completely rigid and not rounding up sums in favor for the customers. This is not the biggest problems, but the way the personnel is behaving is unacceptable, and unbelievable. We experienced during our break how the customers where in an awful way lectured about not having coins with them and how the customers where told how awful they are. After this the ”service”person continued a loud monolog lasting for at least all the approx 30 min we where there (without a break!) about how awful the customers are this year. Customerssitting inside only rolling their eyes not beliving a behavior like this can be true. So my advise to you is: buy your buns somewhere whrere you get good and fresh ones (eg Kuukkeli in Saariselkä willage) and take your own coffee with you. You can have the break outside the cafeteria or at some of the breakplaces in peace and quietness of the wilderness.More
