Ate easy food but still it was not too good just okay And for that price just poor. A bit over priced place. They could fresh up the decoration a bit at least because of corona. Maybe put a fire in the fireplace and a...nice lounge area to separate the hall a bit. The plates, glasses etc looked quite old - there could be some nice old Iittala etc to make it look nicer. At least you can order Minttu hot chocolate and Glögi there. The shop nearby is good.More
Our menu order was quite simple, two salmon soups please. We have a lovely week in Saariselkä, like always. Based on our experiece Huippu has the besr salmon soups. Taste, size, amount of salmon. We hope you will feel same way.
We spent a nice day of taking the ski lift up and sledging down the great slope with our two kids. This place was conveniently located on top of the hill, next to the ski lift. Lovely salmon soup, fresh salad table and also various...other dishes available. The service was abosolutely lovely and we felt really welcome. This place was really quiet and definitely not full of people. Next to the restaurant they have a nice gift shop - also worth visiting (also really good service)!More
This is a good spot for lunch when skiing or tobogganing. Nice big log fire. Good food. Lots of visitors coming and going from the pistes, so quite a bustling place. Has a gift/souvenir shop too, for those arriving by bus or car.
This place was a literal hike to get to - though not too difficult of one. You can walk up from the town of Saariselka (or take the ski lift, ski bus, or a taxi, etc.). The restaurant is cozy and welcoming and also has...a cute souvenir shop as well.
I had the salmon soup and it was delicious - I spent the rest of the trip trying to get a bowl of salmon soup that was as good as this one and it was never matched. Definitely worth a visit. It was snowy and overcast when we were there but I'm sure on a clear there'd be beautiful views from the top.More
