Atmosphere was so nice in the restaurant, our waitress was nice and food was good, what could we wish for more :)

Wow! This restaurant is amazing, the decor is lovely, the staff so so friendly, and the best freshest food ever. Better than top London restaurants in my opinion. Restaurant Pub Teerenpesä sounds like a pub which is also serving some food, but this is not the case. They have both a pub and a full fledged restaurant, which is serving excellent food. Restaurant is offering typical finnish gourmet food including the reindeer and...trout dishes, which are mandatory in Lapland. The location is a nice log house with simple but functional decoration and relaxed atmosphere. Price level is reasonable, specially considering the quality of food. can’t understand the good ratings for these restaurant. We ordered the Caesar salad house style (9,90 Euro) , the cheese burger and the Fried vendaces (18,90 Euro). The Caesar salad includes three lettuce leafs with a few croutons and pieces of Parmesan. It was to...less for 9,90 Euro. For these price you should become a bowl of salad. The fried vendaces was also disappointing, because the side dish, mashed potatoes wasn’t self made. It wasn’t even highly quality bought.More

We were celebrating a special occasion with my husband to be. Service was friendly, on point and throughout excellent. Starter fish plate was tasty. Only hope was that house bread would have been rye bread. As makn course we took reindeer file and slow cooked...reindeer. Main course supeised, well sized portions and reindeer cooked to perfection. Very nice flavours! Dessert didn’t dissapoint either, bluebarru cheesecake was full of flavour. All in all had a lovely evening with good food! Nearly full house, but we were seated right after arriwing, even though arriwing few minutes before our reservation began. The food was excellent and beautiful, flavours and amount of ingredients were in balans. The service was kind and professional. Atmosphere and general feeling were all...excellent. I looooved the desert(Blueberry cheese cake)!! Ok,its a very busy restaurant....one person on the floor,helped out by another lady(who is not wearing a uniform)....so,the lady manning the floor also runs the bar...a bit much for one person on a busy night/full house. I went for...vendace and mash and irish coffee. Very good irish coffee!! Portion for mains was quite much too... Its worth a visit,but gets quite busy,so,if you want quick personalised service,then skip it!More

Cozy athmosphere, friendly service and excellent food from local ingredients. Our dinner was perfect and we will come back for sure.

We were staying at a nearby hotel on a half board basis. The food there (Hotel Tunturi) was not great so a couple of evenings we wandered along the road to try out other restaurants. We found this place on our last evening, and what...a treat to end our stay with! My husband and I ordered the reindeer fillet, beautifully presented and everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Our two children had burgers and both cleared their plates. Desserts were equally as delicious, two panda cottas, a blueberry cheesecake and ice cream. Service was welcoming, friendly, efficient and helpful. The waiter took time to explain items on the bill (we didn’t query it, he was just helping with the language barrier). So glad we found this place, just wish we had done so sooner so we could’ve enjoyed more of the menu!More

Restaurant Teerenpesä is nothing too fancy, but let's face it, sometimes that's just what you need. If you're looking for a basic pub style dish, this is the place to go. We had sautéed reindeer and a steak, and they were just what the menu...promised. Service was friendly and the fireplace made a nice atmosphere. I would have liked more variety in vegetarian or vegan dishes, and the price range was a bit high-ish at least for these basic dishes.More
