We had a superb dinner here. The fish buffet is highly recommended. You can try different sorts of Finnish fish and Lapland potatoes. The dessert was also delicious. This is not the cheapest place, but worth it!
Some local businessman told me to go there and try the reindeer. Wasn't sure at first because i was the only client (turns out it's a slow season Just before christmas here), but i was really impress. First, i asked for a local cocktail and...the waitress gave me a drink with vidka, wild berry, syrop and citrus. I started really good (and i dont like vodka). After that, she suggested i take the reindeer filet with tounge in a brown sauce.... I was disgusted but she convinced me to take it and im sure glad i did! It tasted so Good and so soft.
Plus, its just accross the chappel and 10 min walk from the ski station.More
A week on a familyholiday and we organized one night for a quick dinnerdate. The choice we made was perfect. Atmosphere was quiet enough but not too much and I think becouse of the menu, there were no kids. We ate fish-table and Lapas (...Lapland tapas) for starters, both so tasty and full of different kind of exotic tastes. Lamb and fish for main course, both excellent. Wine was a true match, as was the recommended cappucino with nutliquer. The waiter was so professional, it made us feel very special customers. Excellent, a little expensive menu, but really worth of every cent.More
We were very pleased to find this place. It's actually part of the Hotel Tunturi but is a separate restaurant in the Gielos building, and is open to the public. The menu is quite limited but the quality is high. We had a fish buffet...starter which included a wide range of fresh, pickled and smoked fish along with olives, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke...you get the picture. For main I had a really delicious lamb joint, beautifully cooked in a rich gravy with a tart berry sauce on the side. My wife had a very nicely done white fish with vegetables. It was beautifully presented as was the lamb. This place hadn't been listed separately on Trip Advisor until I requested it - hence the very few reviews, but we thought it was very enjoyable indeed. They've got some nice wines too and the price was sensible for what we got.More
