We ate in the restaurant whilst staying here. Really good food, choice of 4 or 5 dishes, including local, fish and veggie options. Fairly priced (competitive compared to the other few options in Picard). Some non residents also ate there too but I suspect a reservation might be needed in the peak season.

This restaurant is part of a hotel that allows longest to eat - may need reservation, call ahead on weekends. Lovely setting on a porch overlooking the town and harbor, open kitchen and bar - everything was prepared by the same person from scratch. Menu has vegetarian options.

Champs has a dining room that is open to both hotel guests and the public. We had a delicious meal there along with a bottle of reasonably priced Bordeaux wine. The chef and waitstaff are friendly and helpful and the view overlooks Portsmouth and the sea. Highly recommended for a nice night out.

Great food, wonderful service, beautiful view. We stayed at the hotel so the restaurant was very convenient. Sabrina and Tamarra were both wonderful cooks. Recommend the pizza and definitely the cheesecake!

Had daily amazing breakfast prepared by staff members Tamara- main in house cook, and Sabrina who helps and does most reservations. Finally bartender Tarnita who makes best rum punches in the world!

Perched on a hill overlooking the Portsmouth Bay. Great view. Food is well above what you'll find on the island. I had king fish: delicious.

This hotel offers a welcoming terrace over Picard as well as a very decent restaurant. The choice is limited but all our dishes were good and generously served. Be aware however that it is not open every days so check their schedule carefully before going. Pleasant service, moderate pricing. Probably difficult to find any batter in this (remote!) area.

Food was excellent and within budget.i had the steak,well done..it was filled with flavour and enjoyable..my date had the pan fried Mahi Mahi,it looked so good I had to take a bite.It tasted as good as it looked

Had a super pleasant meal here. I had the chicken balls (I can’t remember the terminology – something in Dutch)? And also the soup. And then ice cream for dessert. They also have a nice wine list. I had rum punch which is my favorite, and then the rose, which is also good. I actually think if I was coming back, I would stay here, not just eat here! The owner is super great! She had to be the bearer of bad news to tell me that my tire was flat, but she was overall great. I will say the service was a little spotty because the bartender and the cook were the same person the night that I was there! Overall, would highly recommend!

People were great, food was great, - but please post on your website that reservations are needed. I looked over the hours, waited till it opened, then when we arrived we were told we needed a reservation. The chef consulted with owner and decided to go ahead and seat us. Later on I noticed they turned away people who didn't have a reservation. This place is difficult to get to, so owners, please tell people they need a reservation, before they make the trek up the hill! We are not mindreaders.

The Champs Hotel is lovel, as are the hosts and staff.
The breakfasts were absolutely delicious...a nice selection of egg dishes, gorgeous home made bread, a selection of fruit, fruit juices, tea or coffee and jams.
The pizzas in the evening were extremely generous and very tasty. Each evening the menu changed slightly, which was nice, as it gave me an opportunity to eat different meals.
My only criticism is that there was no local, or Dominican, dishes available on the dinner menu.

While we only spent a few hours at The Champs on our last day in the area, it was certainly time well spent over sumptuous pizzas and chilled beer complemented by a cool breeze and some 90s rock music playing softly in the background.

Excellent food, local fish and greens, very friendly staffs and management! The view is truly gorgeous, I highly recommend this spot for dinner.
