We both chose the Prawns in Marie Rose sauce and good old fish and chips. The prawn cocktail was well presented and delicious. The Beer battered fish was succulent and the homemade chips excellent. Good sized portions. Tremendous value. Definately will be going back. Apparently...More

where we sat down for a drink with a group. Have to praise the service guy who was fast and very friendly. The sitting space is a bit tired though and needs some TLC. Thanks guys anyway:)

This pub has masses of potential and the owners are clearly working on it. The food was brilliant, with friendly waitress service. Excellent selection, and could not fault it. Clearly the surroundings need work, but doesn’t detract from the good food served. Well done to...More

Don't be put off by the external appearance of the pub as it is currently (May 18) undergoing extensive refurbishment which has meant this review is marked down a little. However the staff were very friendly and the food was good honest pub food which...More

Visited with friends. Was fairly amused that the "Soup of the day" was Heinz Tomato Soup from a can. But it's cheap/not very good pub grub, so I wasn't expecting much more. Wouldn't eat here again.

We didn’t book so we were pleased to get a table just as the pub opened. This pub is under refurbishment and did seem very informal. Only slight moan is our cutlery was covered in building dust so we had to wipe it with the...More
