Stopped on way back from Anse Aux Meadows. Sorry there was no snow crab, but what we had was good compensation. This was lunch and this is a sunny, bright dining room. I had the mandatory ( to me) Quidi Vidi 1892 ale. My wife had a delicious partridgeberry martini. For a start she had carrot ginger soup with sour... More

This is a great restaurant, atmosphere was great, waiter was top notch(cant remember his name, was the owner I believe). He was interested to find out where we was from and when we told him our community in Nova Scotia, he even knew where it was, not too many people know that. The cod and fries, which was large portions,... More

Great service and food. My family loved their seafood, and I was happy to find a vegetarian option for me in the menu. If you are around town, give this gem a try.

Presentation & Atmosphere was 100% From the Newfie Tunes playing, the View & the Plate Presentation see Attached pic 5stars! The food was a little disappointing the Crab Cakes were good. The Mussels seemed dry and chewy ( Not your usual local Mussel ) The shrimp and scallops dinner - the shrimp and scallops were tiny but tasty with a... More

The surroundings are pleasant - local art on the walls is good and available for sale. The wine menu is a bit limited but the prices are excellent. We had the same bottle at twice the price at Marble Mountain a couple of days ago. The view of the water from a table near the windows is good (and surprisingly... More

What a great spot! We had cod tongues to start and cod and chips for lunch. Delicious homemade food-- all locally caught specialties. We also had Newfoundland beer (Quidi Vidi) and mixed drinks (Cloudberry martini, Iceberg Vodka). The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We would love to stop here again.

Had a great fish and chip lunch price was great under $15.00 the cod was fresh caught. Okay I will ramble a little so I can get my 100 characters in. The owner of the restaurant is the owner of Henderson's fish market. So you know the sea food is fresh.

Lunch stop after checking in to hotel. Recommended by hotel owner. Very clean and bright place with local music playing. Live music Wedneday night. Very friendly warm staff. My wife and I each ordered a bowl of chowder and we split the fisherman's platter. One of the best chowders I have had in Newfoundland. Creamy, thin with a good amount... More

We decided to eat here simply because it was close to our motel. What a fantastic find!! My husband and I both had shrimp & scallops. He also had fish chowder and I had cod tongue. For dessert we had berry pie and bread pudding/Screech sauce. With the exception of the cod tongue, everything was so, so delicious. (I was... More
