We enjoyed a few bottles of wine while waiting for the kitchen to open at 9am. The staff was entertained by our attempt to speak Spanish. The restaurant offers an interesting menu, so there was need to share food. The garlic soup and veal was amazing. Thank you for your hospitality 👍

We stopped overnight in Medinaceli on a Saturday on our way back to the ferry in Bilbau. Arrived in the afternoon and had a scout round the pretty village to pick somewhere to eat in the evening. This was one of a number of places all buzzing so we took the precaution of booking and, a good job we did,... More

If you are in Medicanceli then this family run restaurant is well worth a visit. We arrived just a bit late for lunch, but despite this the owner kindly put a few things together which proved to be very traditional and good quality. Because of this hospitality and the food we were served we booked our table for 6 and... More

Traveling late we passed Medinaceli because great food was promised. Asking where was a great place to eat, the answer was simple……El Arjibe! We were the last in and late, but what amazing food, and very reasonably priced, excellent service and by genuine, very kind folk. All that in one place, is rare. We will return and soon and will... We have not eaten in Medinacelli for a while and chose this little bar-restaurant as it seemed to be the best combination of light surroundings and good light food. We were certainly pleased with our choice. There is a particularly good choice of home cooked starters, with the revuelto de boletus and calabacin relleno de gambas really delicious. We had... More

On our way to the mountains from Madrid and need lunch. Followed our rule of find the No2 (trying herder) wasn't disappointed. Standout dish was the Cod Carpaccio. Both Duck salad and Tuna and roster red pepper salad were excellent. Morrcilla de Burgos one if the better offerings of this very traditional Spanish dish. Very light and crispy. Relaxed cheap... The ambience is more a bar than a restaurant - in fact the restaurant is really a corner of the bar. However the welcome is warm and genuine, and the service friendly. The food was good, but not gourmet. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the service. It was good value for money. I would recommend the restaurant to... More
