We had dinner here on the recommendation of the owner of the B&B where we were staying. It's in the middle of the town of Deshaies, where parking can be tough. It has a small indoor space overlooking the water, as well as an outdoor deck and, upstairs, a room with windows open to the breezes, which is where we... More

Mains good, desserts fab - go there for the view, which is amazing. The dessert gourmand was a great success for us all. They don't do pizza at lunchtime, so our daughter had pasta, they also do salad as well as fish

Finding the restaurant fully booked one evening, we popped in to book for the following evening. We were shown to a table upstairs in a charming room with three open-air windows to the outside. An attraction of this establishment is that you can order tapas to fill the time when your main course is being cooked. They cost 4 euros... More

Looked in for lunch, the balcony terrace was shut due to heavy swell splashing in, upstairs we got sat in a crowded room, were served promptly and enjoyed a very nice Caesar salad. This is a no smoking bar and they want to enforce that, even for the electronic fags.

We visited over Christmas, and Le Mahina was one of the only places open on Christmas Day, so we had lunch here after a morning of scuba diving. I had a pasta dish with shrimp, and my partner had a grilled fish. (I don't remember what kind.) The food was pretty good, and the servers were very attentive. Food came... More

You need a reservation to eat at this super popular lace in Deshaies. It's located on the busy one way street where most other restaurants in Deshaies are. The place gets packed on the weekend and we waited nearly two hours for our food because many locals were waiting outside for takeout pizzas. Coming Dom New York we were hesitant... More

Having been eating mostly grilled fish and salad, which la mahina does so well, felt the need for something a little heavier. Choose a homemade pasta with spinach and beef,....amazing baked dish. Heavy with flavor and just plain heavy, exactly what I was looking for.

We were walking around town looking for a place that was open and serving. Passing by Le Mahina we stopped in and they happened to have one table available in their upstair area. The seaside area was full, probably filled with people who had reservations. There were also outdoor and indoor bar areas that seemed to be popular with the locals.... More

We made a reservation, this place always seems to be fully booked, and got a nice table by the window upstairs. The service was good, and the food aswell. I can really recommed their cocktails, the bartender got it just right! The desserts are very big, you can easely share one dessert with someone and still get your sweet tooth... More

We ate here twice during our two-week visit. As with most restaurants in Deshaies, make a reservation. The pizzas are very good and the staff is helpful. We liked the goat cheese salad but I thought it was heavy on the nuts. Decent prices. Also, great place to get pizza to go. There's a room/deck right on the water and... More
