I recently visited Cafe Emil with my travellers from Singapore. They have been on special Vegan food but small place as Cafe Emil made it for them over all expectations. It reminds us very much on another cafe in Arnarstapi because of one simple reason....More

Great stop, when it happens to be open! The coffee was very good, and their waffles were an excellent brunch find. Honestly not much else was available in this little town. Unfortunately the second day we tried to go they were closed at 11, even...More

You need to come to try the fish soup! So tasty and nice- exactly what you need for a day of adventure. Such a cozy place, too :)

This was a nice spot to take a break from the cold rain. We had fish soup and a piece of "happy marriage cake" and sat for a little bit to warm up. It's a bookstore/information desk/café/small museum hybrid with a nice cozy feel and...More

The coffees are excellent as are the homemade pastries. It's a cozy little place to stop if you're in the area. The service is very welcoming and friendly. Note: parking is easy and there are clean bathrooms available for customers.

Stopped for a quick lunch. Excellent fish soup with home made bread and coffee included. The chocolate cake is worth dying for! One is enough for two, though.

Limited menu, but very tasty food. Also museum, library, and theater with history of the town. We had two diners with dairy restrictions, and they had no problem keeping cream out of the fish soup.

We were just looking for a quick coffee after a long day's driving and walking in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula and before a further long drive back to our cottage. What we found, by pure happenstance, was a really charming place. Where else could you drink...More

Great hospitality. My 9 year old son told the waitress that their waffles were his best ever. She provided him with their recipe. Cafe is in local tourist office with small display of waterman history of the village.
