We tried this restaurant on the off chance as from the outside it looked quite appealing. Once inside, the décor was dull and uninviting. We chose the set menu. The food was adequate. The fish rillette came with very, very crunchy small rounds of baguette and my husband broke his denture on them. I thought the coq-au-vin was quite salty.... More

We tried this restaurant for Sunday lunch having failed to get a table at our preferred choice. Most of Berck seemed to be closed at the beginning of October so at least this one was open and had a set meal that sounded good. We were sat by the window as was everyone else despite there being much more space... More

We stay at a hotel just down the road - but the hotel has become a guest house and closed it's dining room. So we came to the restaurant, Le Homard Bleu. Great menu, friendly staff (the proprietor seemed rather worried, but probably because I had 'schoolboy French' and he had 'schoolboy English', not expensive, loved the food. A table... More

After a walk at the seaside we decided to go for this restaurant. The interieur is somewhat oldfashioned, but since this quite often the case in france, it did nt bother me at all. We ordered a 4 course meal for 35 euro/person consisting of 12 oysters, an appel sorbet, a grilled mullet with vegetables and some rice, and finally... More

When we were having a look at the menu outside, the boss came out to invite us in, in a desperate tone that couldn't be refused, but should have had us warned that the place wasn't exactly teeming with customers... Indeed, the place is very old-fashioned, somewhat dirty (the carpeted floor needs changing since 1982) and the staff, although trying... More

Frankly none of the restaurants near the seafront looked particulary appealing, but this one at least had dishes-of-the-day rather than just set menus. The dining area is somewhat tired and uninviting while a delayed appearance of a member of staff greeted one in a rather luke-warm manner. The first course of potted fish meat (rillettes de poisson) was certainly below... More
