We have tried Meat US a couple of times and generally liked their range. This time, though the food was more or less of the same standard, the experience was a total let down,
THis time we tried inside the restaurant and found the place to be too close for comfort. The tables were far too close and maneuvering to the table meant too many close encounters with the already seated, sometimes making it a bit embarrassing.
This a side, the place was way too noisy and being a saturday it was full. But not with the general lively chatter but thundering laughs and horrendous chuckles with pompous talk. The table with about 8 gentlemen were drinking and making the place too loud that it was very very difficult. They were not bothered about the noise and later we learnt that they were some friends of the owner. Anyway, apart from the food, we could not wait to run outside and even thought of taking the food away.
It was a total waste of an evening meant to enjoy their delicious food.
On the food front, we really like them, but sometimes feel that almost all items have the same base taste. May be this can be worked upon

This is a very small bbq place with a few tables but the food far exceeded our expectations. The chicken legs, pork chops and ribs ;all were great. The garlic bread is fantastic. It would be convenient if you call them beforehand and reserve a table as the place is small. Can recommend it without a doubt.

Great place for meat lovers. Small place with a nice ambience. Good for families & gatherings. Foods also taste great. Will have to wait for a while to get the food to be prepared but the waiting is worth.

These guys do their meat right! Last night we got the mixed grill - two chicken legs, two sausages and one pork chop and a portion of two chicken legs. Here’s my take on it
Chicken - I love the charry, smokey flavor on all of their BBQs. The legs are fat and juicy despite being perfectly grilled. So much flavor
Pork chops - have gotten smaller as of late. I would have loved to have the fatty part intact but alas it had melted away in the process. I did love the meat part tooth. It was still juicy and tender.
Potato mash - a little less creamy than I expected it to be, but a bit of milk blended into it fixed it right back
They had gotten the order wrong (instead of the two chicken legs they’ve put in 3 pieces of rib instead) and within an hour of informing them, they were sweet enough to deliver the chicken leg portion right to home with an extra pork chop thrown in. This is customer care, my friend!
Highly recommended. Cannot wait to go back!

My wife & son's favorite BBQ Ribs...!! Good BBQ food, chicken & sausage is me & my daughter's favorite with some potato salad .. & the Garlic bread is really great...!!
You can bring your drinks ( alcoholic).. Very reasonably priced..

This place serves some of the best BBQ dishes in town. We have been regulars since they opened the place up, going in atleast twice a week at one point of time. The BBQ'd Chicken/Pork Chops and Ribs are fantastic and goes really well with the garlic bread they offer. Our favourite item on their menu is the Simply Chocolate, their Milo flavored chocolate drink. we cannot count the number of times we've gone in just to fulfill our Simply Chocolate cravings.
The owners are really friendly and this place truly resembles a family run business where they interact with their customers and make sure that customers' requests are catered to. If you're in Colombo and want to try some really good BBQ in the suburbs of Colombo close the Waters Edge or the Parliament of Sri Lanka, M'eat US is the place to go.

This is a gem of a place hidden on the roadside around Pelawatte area. If you do not pay close attention, you might actually have difficulty in tracing the location. However, they do absolute justice to the food they prepare. Meat done, just right. Loved the succulent BBQ ribs, sizzling grilled chicken and the unusual choice of kochchi sausages which gave the spice senses a good jab and left us wanting more. The garlic bread (prepared using the normal bakery bread) was the best I ever had! A very hearty meal which brought lots of pleasure while having it.

This is not a fancy restaurent, yet its cool homely place which gives your money worth and good tasty food. Extremely friendly staff and super service. Best place to meet and mingle.

Superb array of grilled meat. Fresh off the grill, the pork ribs and grilled chicken pack a super punch to the deserving diner. Price Vs quantity is good too. One of the really good options for a solid dinner in Colombo.

We had the rib platter as well as bbq chicken and garlic bread lastnight. Everything was sooo good - I haven’t had that good of bbq chicken since being in the U.K. and US. Next time we’re in the area, we’ll be coming back. Everyone working there is super friendly as well. Highly recommend!

The ribs and meat platters were excellent. Warm and friendly service makes the place even better. Seating is a bit tight and a home delivery option like Uber Eats will definitely help.

Best place for bbq in Colombo. Place has limited seating. It was not a problem at the beginning but as word spreads it's getting crowded ,so it helps to reserve a table. Try their bbq ribs and peri peri chicken. Andy who runs the place is a great personality. I have introduced this place to so many of my friends
