We struggled to find any fresh reviews on Grand Rose Spa restaurant and endevored on a 5 course tasting menu in a bit of a dare. We were pleasantly surprised. The overall experience was very good. We had cod liver pate for first course, the...portion was generous, the flavours were very good - the pate was accompanied by cottage cheese, marinated cucumbers, runny egg.. nice :). For second course we were served dear tartar. The flavours were very nice, only critique - there could havd been more natural flavour of the dear itsself, the marinade, the chantarelles, the egg etc gave a punch. The third course was fresh cought cod which was pan-seared in butter, accompanied by really good & flavoursome sauce, green bean pure, marinated cucumbers, grilled fencol and dill dust. This course was the best of all 5. Very well balanced, really good fish. The 4th course was veal sirloin - nice as well, I only wish we had more room in the stomach to enjoy it til the end. The final course was poached pears in coconut-lime custard - my companion found the custard a bit too tart, but for me it was ok.. a nice finish to a 5 course menu. So, we were very happy with our experience. The only suggestion to the chef - downsize the portions a bit :).More

We had lunch on the patio. We were very happy with our food and the environment. The prices are manageable and the service good!

Service was good and food tasty, at a little chilly night it was still quite comfortable to dine there. - At the second hour, breakfast was only lukewarm leftovers. Same concerns lunch. - Vegan unfriendly - nothing to eat apart of tasteless cauliflower and broccoli at room temperature for my beloved wife; - Drinks that look like orange or apple taste about the same...as water. Took my own from the store. - Worst coffee in Saaremaa. Would you risk with your dinner?More

Restaurant was quite empty this evening. There was only one couple having dinner. Beef burger was okay, so was selection of restaurant ice creams and sorbets. Candlelight and friendly staff.

Always take the chef offer of the month, then you know everything will be great. Breakfast buffet is excellent

We booked our table for 12 persons. It was nice and they where well prepared. We had to wait only 30 minutes and we all received our dishes on the same time. Dishes where big and tasty and also the waiter was really lovely. Would...visit again.More

Visited this restaurant many times for business lunch. Service is very good, tasty food too, fantastic open air restaurant atmosphere. Located in the center of the town. My recommendation: Try fresh smoked trout (direct from the oven) with hot vegetables !

In the beginning we had some dark garlic bread and pickled cucumbers with honey. Excellent choice! :D The main course was also very good.

Good food. Oysters were not good. Too much vinegard. Atmosphere very nice. Design very interesting - medieval theme.

Visited this restaurant following reviews on trip advisor. Photos depict the restaurant as very quaint, only to discover that in summer the restaurant shifts to the terrace, which is quite bland. Food was good and service excellent.
