Have gone to this restaurant often because of the good food the chef offers, but the unfriendly service leaves much to be desired. A real pity. If you're a few minutes early, the lady makes you sit outside - actually she should offer something to...drink in the meantime. Then after a beautiful meal, we chatted becauswe still had wine - the lady waved her hands to show us we should go. Unheard of. Won't go there again, unfortunately.More

Quite a nice experience to visit this restaurant. Unexpected nice atmosphere and lovely food... Although the menu was handwritten, the place is highly professional. Don't go there if you only want to have a pizza. They don't serve, they serve even better food! Starting with...an appetizer only to eat with your hands, like the owner said to us: it was a very thin slice of bread with mozzarella, tomatoes and basil. After that we had some 'antipasti': 'proscuitto San Daniele con melone', 'vitello tonnato', 'tartare tonno'. All three were delicious. For us 'vitello tonnato' is number one! For the main course four of us had the dish of the day: tartellini with fresh tartufo. Really very special and the flavor was excellent. One of us had ravioli with spinach and ricotta. Intense flavor, rich of everything. Another one had tartelinni with fungi and fresh italian herbs in a soft cream sauce. Also very tasteful and delicious. For desserts there was no menu, but we could choose between several specials: sorbet lemon, panna cotta, creme caramel and tiramisu. And again even the desserts are cooked with passion and love for food. You could see and taste it! We all really enjoyed being here. So we hardly recommend this place.More

We spent 2 weeks in Calde in September and passed this restaurant many times - never open, no menus etc. Then 2 nights before we left we found it open and decided to eat there as the place we were going to was unexpectedly closed....Restaurant lovely inside (outside looked frankly semi-derelict) and food surpassed all expectations - inventive, good quality and well cooked dishes and a great local wine. Very pleased we eventually found it.More
