We were recommended this restaurant - by the casino - by the local tourist information office and the restaurant delivered. Lots of locals as well as visitors and a great range of food - especially fish if you are a littlle tired of too much meat. We had squid - just about the tenderest I have had and a delicious... Huge menu. Very casual, good food, extremely friendly service. Loved the blues music that was playing.

Following the good comments, especially on fish, we went to this restaurant on a saturday night (after having booked) for our anniversary. First, I expected a place quite elegant or even posh, but this is a very simple restaurant. I thought that the meals would be even greater, but there weren't... We had two empanadas as starters, asked for one... More

Restaurant Ilo is the nicest restaurant in Tupungato. We really didn't know what to expect when we got to Tupungato and at first glance, it looks like a shabby, run-down town with run-down restaurants. But Restaurant Ilo has a sort of "shabby charm" to it. The service was great, very quick. Their wine list isn't too extensive, but bottles are... More

We were renting a house in the Uco Valley and as we drove in from Mendoza we decided to stop for lunch in Tupungato. Ilo just called out to us as we drove down the Main Street. Each of the five of us shared a large salad and had a main course. We tried one of the pastas, beef selections... More

Its a typical local venue, with over 150 menu options. Its service is incredible and the dishes are delicious. If your are looking for a fancy place, maybe its not the option; but try it definetively for the good food.

Everyone in Mendoza will tell you to eat at Ilo when you are Tupungato. Why? They have fish. What looks like a huge menu is just the same preparations for the several types of fish and seafood, over and over. Pricy, and decent without quite rising any higher.

Love this place and eat here often with clients and with friends. On a corner of the main street in Tupungato, the restaurant is very nice, but casual, and be warned there is no view. Doesn't matter, the food is always delicious, and sometimes we drive out here from the city just to have lunch on the weekend. The menus... More

Restaurant Ilo started as a pizza parlor, looks like a corner coffee shop, but has the best seafood and shellfish in Mendoza Province, if not all of Argentina. The wine list is excellent, and the special dessert sounds terrible, but is delicious. At lunchtime during the harvest ( March and April) reservations are necessary. It is one of the three... More
