Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wilde’s at the Lodge was great! We only stayed at the Lodge for one night, but were lucky enough to enjoy breakfast at Wilde’s the morning of checkout. We had an early reservation that morning and the staff were on time and friendly. We had...a two-course breakfast with complimentary breads, croissants, and a couple other pastries, coffee, tea, and juice. The food was outstanding and our waitress was lovely. They really went above and beyond to make us feel special. I would highly recommend visiting for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.More

F.A.O. Jonathan Keane and all his Team at Wildes Restaurant. Good Morning I really hope this email gets to be seen and read by all staff at our favorite restaurant in Ireland. Last night we returned to Wildes at The Lodge for my partners birthday....This was our first time back since the pandemic began. We were a bit anxious and really didn't know what to expect. But what occurred exceeded our expectation by at least 200%. We were greeted in a calm and professional manner by the restaurant team who checked our covid papers and showed us to our table. What followed were three of the tastiest plates of food we have ever had out fine dining. From Kelly's white pudding Scotch Egg, on to the Sea Bass, and finally complimented by the seasonal Orange and Pumpkin 🎃 spiced cheesecake. All three plates of food were packed with divine flavours and each equally deserve high praise. A special credit to our servers who were very attentive and continually asked if everything was OK for us. To sum up we are very grateful that ye have made our evening birthday celebration a night to remember and in thanks for this we intend to copy and paste this review on trip advisor and other locations including my own page Irelandstourguide on Facebook. Regards and Thanks, Derek Kelly and Jacinta Hennelly.More

Great food, excellent service. Super nice views also. Morning specialty juices were yummy. Irish breakfasts at hotels are far superior to US offerings at hotels.

We had a 3 night stay which was amazing, our suite was fabulous and glorious views over the Lock Corrib. All our meals were delicious and the service from every member of staff was excellent. What a great team they have and so attentive and...no request was too much trouble for them. We felt so welcomed.More

The Lodge is a lovely venue and clearly aims at a fine dining experience (not least from the pricing). The menu is rather traditional and uninspired - nothing leapt out as a "must try" for any of the courses. I have a very sweet tooth...but genuinely struggled to select a dessert choice. The chosen main course - venison - was a disappointment. The meat was excellent quality but the dish overall was overcooked and bland. The evening failed as an experience. The staff were enthusiastic but poorly trained and there was no sign of any experienced supervision.More

We dined at Wilde's restaurant and we had a wonderful night. We had a table overlooking the lake. The food was simply outstanding. We had the salmon starter with trout caviar..... what can I say?! It was just sublime. The sea bass for the main...and a 'deconstructed' crumble for desert. They were all super. Our waiter Shane, could not have been been helpful. Well done, Wilde's, we will be back.More
