Customer service was excellent from arrival to finish. Food and drinks top notch. It was very busy and food came out on time. Waitresses and waiters very friendly.

We have been to the restaurant a few times and the food is really good and tasty! The service is very casual which is typical of Irish restaurant, but overall a relaxed dining option. Would recommend to anyone who asks

Attended for a special family celebration. Despite alerting the restaurant in advance that there would be 5 vegetarians in the group, the only option was vegetarian burger and chips. The burger appeared to be a processed frozen burger with a rubbery texture. Disappointing that nothing...fresh or imaginative could be conjured up for vegetarians. It's really not that difficult!More

We ate here two nights on our trip to Cong and were very happy with our meal bar one slight issue. Staff are all lovely and despite being very busy both nights they were more than able to cope and there were no delays, great value...for money, the first night we had the tapas surf and turf and the pork belly, the only niggle was the pork belly which was not very tender and a bit lacking in sweet potato purée that I was looking forward to,there was only a small amount, however the second night we had the fish and chips and the burger and I can actually say it was by far the best burger I have ever eaten, cooked to perfection, later managed to squeeze in the apple pie which was lovely too. Also the berry crumble was fab, Drinks prices were reasonable with the cheapest pint of smithwicks on our trip.More

5 star, we had the most amazing time at my eldest son's confirmation celebration. Impeccable service and food of the highest standards. I cannot compliment the staff and family owners enough for their kind and and wonderful service service. 5 star food and we had...the most relrxed post covid night ever. Communion due in 2 months time and we will be back in a heartbeat to have yet another wonderful evening. I cannot recommend the venue and it's staff any more, my sincere thanks to Stephen and Olga for their service and kindness. A credit to our our fair Green Isle and a star of the West!!!!More

We were very disappointed when we went for a meal to Lydon's. We ordered the Duck Migret and a burger. After almost an hour the Duck arrived. Two pieces among the veg. After another ten minutes the burger arrived. The bun was burned. I decided...I wouldn't eat the bun so was discarding it until I removed it and noticed the burger was burned (black) too. I pointed this out to the server who took it back. My husband was now eating alone and we voiced this loud enough for someone to over hear. Eventually a server came back and said oh I was going to remove yours sir. They then offered us a free drink. Eventually my burger arrived with untoasted bun, a flattened burger that was burned. Very disappointed.More

Food ok, but serviced in an outdoor area, very cold our experience made worse by looking into an indoor warm lounge which was for residents only, but was completely empty. Don't understand why non resident diners were discrimated against when all the adjoining indoor tables...and chairs were empty all evening. Very disappointing, will not be returning.More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights in July and found it excellent. The food, the rooms, the service but most of all the owners were outstanding. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Well I firmly maintain that quality customer service both food and service needs to be commended. We called in on spec tonite after a busy day. This was our second night in Cong and only we had been in the town earlier on the afternoon,...we were not aware of this prime spot and came across it on one way system...Near fuel station. It was busy at lunchtime. We had a very disappointing meal in another restaurant the night before and should have known if you could just walk in. Lydons were busy but did accomodate us outside and explained to us that it would be 20 mins before order could be taken...well lets just say it was worth the wait. 10/10 for all three of us. Thank you Lydons for the excellant hospitality and food.More

I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely family run hotel. Myself and two friends stayed for one night bed and breakfast and had a delicious dinner of monkfish that would be hard to beat anywhere. The breakfast was excellent and very generous and...kept us going for the day. The beds were very comfortable with excellent linen so a great night sleep was had. The icing on the cake must be the staff, every one of them were so helpful, obliging and very friendly. We will certainly be returning here next time in Cong.More
