We sat in the basement area with a group. Had a basic galette, which was good, but I would have liked to explore the menu a bit more. As it was, we only had a choice of 2 different galettes. I did enjoy my bowl...of cider though. And the atmosphere up on the main floor seemed cozy and there appeared to be lots of local families.More

Had a great lunch at this place last week. Had been looking forward to some great food while on holiday in this region and until we came here, we hadnt found it. Lovely crêpes for my kids and I enjoyed the mussels, they were really...good!! Friendly service and lovely ambience with the tapestries.More

It was a very unpleasant experience when the waitress in a very rude manner told us that their place is for food and not for drinks. It's not just because of the fact they refused to serve but the way it was done. Very rude...people.More

We visited as 2 families with 6 kids from the the age of 3-9 and the restaurant was very accommodating for the whole family. Table service was good and the meals were perfect for the kids. I highly recommend the mix grill or steaks as...they were cooked to perfection. Also the creme brûlée was out of this world and a massive!More

There were lots of dishes to choose from. The menu was in French and English. The food was ok. It seems that young children are served before the parents, because this happened at our table and at the table next to us. It would be...nice to be asked if we preferred to be served at the same time or not.More

A rich menu of galettes, which are generous and freshly made, a friendly staff and an excellent local cider. What else?

We met up with some friends on Dol for an evening meal on the first Thursday in September and because we arrived a little early, we decided to carry out a rece of the eating places available. To say it was like trying to find...a needle in a hay stack is not an exaggeration! Walking up the main road and shooting off down some of the side streets, we established that there were just 2 places open, this one and a burger place. No choice as far as were concerned and so at 7pm we entered and were seated by the window. The food isn't cheap but it was nice. We opted to share a scallop salad per couple as a starter which was served on an oblong dish with a pot of dressing. The men then had the entrecote steak one with mustard and the other with peppercorn sauce, one of us ladies had moules a la creme and the other a gallette with goats cheese and bacon. Finally, just 2 deserts were ordered, a plain crepe with sugar and a raspberry filled crepe with cream. There were a couple of oddities, firstly, we couldn't order a drink whilst we looked at the menu, we were told that we had to order it all together and that meant that our aperatifs arrived with the wine and the second, when you asked for the bill, you were directed to pay at the till. A bit more difficult when you are trying to split the bill! Still that didn't detract from the food.More

This is probably the busiest place to eat in Dol (there's a limited choice) as many hotels recommend it. When we went there the stressed staff showed us to the subterranean dining room which was actually good as it wasn't so smoky and hot as...the main dining area. Plus, the outside was like a kids' playground with little ones running round shouting whilst parents smoked. In fairness, we hadn't booked. The food was OK but nothing special - my steak was served rare (good job I asked for well done or it would still be chewing grass, but I know what the french are like) and the service slow. An interesting place for architecture. Oh, you have to ask for the bill then pay at the till, so beware.More
