About
As for the greek souvlaki ,things are simple! The recipe is well-known even from the ancient times. There is a characteristic reference in the 3rd century AD Greek work โโDeipnosophistaeโโ where the souvlaki was mentioned as โโkandavlosโโ . This was the first souvlaki in history! Since then the souvlaki has undergone many variations and consequently holds many different names in different parts of Greece. Our foreign friends and visitors can ask us and we will be delighted to answer all their questions about it! We at Pepper choose to follow one unique and important fact: A properly grilled souvlaki wrapped in a fresh pita bread accompanied by delicious and fresh local ingredients compose perhaps the most tasteful and the same time healthy meal. The only thing you have to do is a Pepper tryโฆ.

Walked past this place and thought, wow that looks a cool place for essentially a fast food place. Looked at reviews which were great. There's a takeaway at the front and a fine dining restaurant at the back which made things a bit confusing but the place was lovely. We had souvlaki and a burger which came with an amazing garlic mayo sauce... Also served the local mikonu brews which was appreciated. Very decent food ๐

We came across Pepper by accident, tucked in a cosy corner of the street. We overheard some people talking about how delicious it was so we stayed and were not disappointed. We ordered souvlaki pita and a burger, everything was delicious and fresh, I loved the mustard sauce. The staff was very friendly and the place is beautiful. I higly recommend it!

4/5 this was one of the first places I ate here in Mykonos that was actually worth the price. Most meals here are 20-30โฌ per entree but not even worth it. Pepper is actually good and worth the price. The only reason I am not giving it 5/5 stars is because they didnโt have a high chair for infants.
Food/experience was 5/5.

Went here for a couple of burgers. Ordered the ones with onion rings to find out it was actually caramelised onion. The burgers were OK but hoped theyโd be a bit better after reading the reviews. Nice enough for a quick bite, and sells some Greek craft beer which we enjoyed

This is an elegant little place carefully watched over by two generations of the Pepper family. With a short comprehensive menu and interesting beverage list, it offers a nice range of sophisticated presentations and delicious comfort bites.
And with entrances at each end of the building, itโs easy to find. Inside, you can choose between cozy, shaded indoor and private, sunny garden seating. Or sit at the well-stocked bar.
We wanted both comfort and romance, and with nothing more to prove ordered delicious pork souvlaki in pita and a bottle of champagne. They were sold out of Veuve Clicquot, but Moet is widely available in Greece. So we indulged both our tastes, and wildly enjoyed a bottle served in a top hat ice bucket and appropriately street-wrapped sandwiches. After all, itโs Mykonos where even two can have a party! Pepper makes a great place to start.

I wanted to like this place so bad, but the hype outweighs the performance. Good central location, decor, and service. Even serve craft beer. The pepper fries were a saving grace and very welcome. The souvlaki (we tried pork and chicken) was good but not great. Served with a mustard sauce drizzle and crispy pita. The saganaki was not traditional (the menu warns of the difference) and neither of us could eat it. Depends on what you are looking for but there are better options with some searching if you donโt plan on getting their high end stuff that we cannot comment on.

Happened across this little place while wondering the streets. The service was friendly and the food was tasty. We just had gyros as the waiter did seem to have some trouble figuring out we also wanted a starter of hummus, which we never got. Also prefer gyros with shaved meats not chunks of meat which were a bit fatty and chewy. But tasted good, overall a good inexpensive lunch in a place where inexpensive is hard to find.

Outstanding restaurant in the streets of mykonos, basically the tables are arranged inside the street with people walking next door, under the wonderful white buildings typical of the place.
The structure is new with friendly and very fast staff, with illustrated menu for meat specialties.
Reservation is simple as the waiters speak good Italian, excellent products and cooked very well.
We had two meat skewers, chips, a medium souvlaki and two coke 0 spending around โฌ 32.
Honest prices for the location of the restaurant and the quality of the products, average prices 12 / 18 โฌ.
Super recommended.

Decided to have lunch here because it had good reviews and was centrally located in the town while visiting the area. Was seated quickly and the restaurant was not too busy. Asked the server for suggestions and was told the chicken breast plate was good. However, the chicken was way overcooked and dry, and the pita bread was hard. Apparently they forgot to put dressing on my salad and the fries were cold and hard. My friend said her sandwich was just okay, but the greek salad was nice and fresh. The server asked how we liked the food and I expressed that the chicken was overcooked to which he simply said he would tell the cook. Probably would not eat here again as there are lots of other options in the area.

Went on the recommendation that it was good for gluten free/coeliacs.
Had a Greek translation card but the staff member still didn't really seem to know what was in the food but we got there.
Got the chicken souvlaki without the pita... Food came out with the bread, did get a new plate and was told it was a new dish. The food was delicious and fresh and came out in a timely manner.
There was one staff member who seemed like he did not want to be there, wasn't exactly friendly.

Definitely visit here if youโre coeliac/ gluten free.
Lovely staff and they understood gluten free/coeliac and assured me of no cross contamination. They have 100% gluten free pitas ( these are not the corn pita as they still have some flour), I had pork souvlaki and fries/fyers also gf.
When my meal came out, I had to check again it was gluten free as it looked too good to be true.
Staff were so patient when asking them questions.

The Pepper is a very welcoming restaurant, the waiters are very pleasant and speak several languages. A perfect welcome in a lovely setting, tasteful decoration. We ate very well (extremely tender chicken skewers, excellent home fries, tasty sauce and salad).
In short, nothing to complain about except the price.
There are a few inexpensive restaurants in Mykonos but overall the prices are higher than in France. The bill hurts a little (3 dishes of skewers + drinks: โฌ75).
We didn't have desserts.
The fault: the price, the qualities: everything else.
In conclusion, we ate well there and that's the main thing.

Had dinner here on our last night in Mykonos. Our only regret is not finding it sooner. Friendly staff, delicious food and to top it off they make special gluten free pittas which are delicious! Highly recommend.

This is advertised as a modern Greek cuisine. It was ordinary at best. The serving were small and tastless. The meat was flavourless and the gyros mostly chips and even they were hard and not fresh. The saganaki was even stranger and coated in a bread crumming that didn't help the flavour. Mykonos is not known for cheap eats but to be served this sort of quality and charges top price was just not right. This is the first and last time. I would suggest others who are looking for a good feed not to bother with Pepper Mykonos!!!
