A bright & breezy location by the sea in Las Americas. Quite a roomy restaurant, reasonably priced, a fast service, a generous measure of VAT (Vidka & Tonic) i ordered a paella with large prawns, chicken (two other options available) a very good variety of other dishes avaiable. It was so filling i did not have room for any other dishes. A free caramel liqueur was given at the end, very nice too. The only problem was the live music, a guitarist who was very good but far too loud, which restricted conversation to a bare minimum

We went to Monica’s 3 times once for lunch and twice for evening meal. The lunch time rolls and burgers were excellent value at around €4 each with fries my teenage boys loved the burgers. The evening meals were excellent value for money with good quality food we shared the paella deal one evening which came with a bottle of house wine for €28 for two people my youngest son had the BBQ ribs which came with chips and was a huge serving for €9:50. Overall great food and drink with good service definitely worth a visit.

Ordered lunch here today. I had grilled white fish which came with Canadian potatoes & mojo sauce and a salad garnish. My husband had a chicken, tuna & prawn salad. My fish had soft moist flesh and was nicely cooked, for the price €6.25, it was value for money. I’m sure it was a local fish. I love mojo sauce, I make it myself at home but unfortunately the red sauce was far too salty, so I couldn’t eat it. The green sauce was as expected. My husband described his salad as bland. Normally the salads here come with olives but this didn’t. There was no dressing on it at all. He had a tuna salad somewhere else yesterday, that one was cheaper, nicer had olives and a lovely dressing. The sangria was great and the most alcoholic I’ve had so far. The beer was good. My other half had a cortado (Coffee). I asked for a hot water with a slice of lemon. What I got was lime cordial and a bottle of water. The waiter apologised and fetched his colleague, as his English wasn’t very good, he said. I was then presented with a finger bowl to wash my hands. Eventually, I got what I asked for and was charged €1.75 for it. I wasn’t too pleased at that, as normally, if you have a meal in a restaurant, you don’t get charged for the hot water! The bill was €24.08 Overall we like Monica’s and visit every time we’re here. The staff are friendly and it’s a nice spot to sit, overlooking the sea. We have a brisk half hour walk to get here each time but this time, unfortunately, there was a little disappointment and room for improvement.

We had a nice evening here. Everything was great. The food was delicious, it was clear that the kitchen staff was very ambitious, both in the way the meals were presented and in the taste. The staff was very attentive, poured wine in our glasses soonest they were near to be empty. Don’t miss to visit Monica’s!

Having enjoyed a very nice glass of wine watching the sun set over the sea we decided to dine there. There is an extensive choice of dishes but we opted for one of the specials, choosing the fillet steak option. The steak was cooked to perfection, just as requested and the accompanying garlic potatoes and stir fried vegetables were delicious. The service was excellent and the staff were attentive and friendly. One further note, the free bottle of wine offered with the meal was a very good quality Crianza, which isn’t what you always get when wine is included in the price! Highly recommend a visit.

Ate here a couple of times and the food was lovely. They were really short staffed and the poor waiter was literally running around trying to keep up and food took a while but was worth the wait. Many restaurants and bars were also shorted staffed so not I cant blame them for that. Note this trip was when things started up after the covid lockdowns.

We saw this place whilst on our holiday and wanted to try it one evening as the menu sounded really nice. We tried one evening and were ignored by the restaurant staff so had to go to a different place. We tried again last night and wish we didn’t bother!! We had starters of garlic prawns and bruschetta which was actually really nice and then for mains we had penne Monica and chicken Monica. Both were completely inedible. The ‘chicken breast’ tasted like it was cheap frozen stuff that had been heated in the microwave and it wasn’t hot all the way through. When paying 15 euros+ for a meal I do expect them to use fresh meat. I ate the chips and left hungry. The bill was the most expensive of all the places we have eaten so far whilst in playa de las americas and costa adeje. There’s plenty of places a 5 min walk away in playa de las americas direction that do 3 courses for 8 euros and the quality of the meat and food there are far superior so save your money and go there! Only plus for this restaurant is the starters were nice and they did have good service by offering us blankets as it was a breezy night

Great restaurant, food lovely. I marked down in stars due to the near by bin outside where smokers from the restaurant gather and it’s not too nice when all the smoke blows into your face when eating. As the tables face out to see the view of the sea usually a chap stands at the wall at the top of the steps to entice people to come into the restaurant, he seemed pleasant enough but noticed every time someone walked passed the restaurants beside Monica’s where they had another chap standing outside to get people to come in, if they didn’t go into his restaurant the man made fun of the people behind there backs and seemed to be speaking in Spanish about them. It’s not very nice to witness as the young chap at Monica’s was laughing along with that man. these guys must remember people can eat where they want and if someone says no, that should be enough without becoming aggressive and abusive towards the tourists who are bring money to their island. (Please note the chap in the photo was not the one who was laughing at people)

Food was decent enough for a seafront tourist destination. Better than some of the other places we’ve visited. Friendly and quick service with €1 pints. I had grilled salmon, canary potatoes and vegetables. The fish was nice, however does not need to be covered in sea salt as it’s salty enough, especially with the accompanying potatoes. The veg was more like a Chinese stir fry takeaway, riddled in oils, making any health benefits of veg redundant. Would’ve preferred steamed veg as I assume most people ordering a grilled fish are preferring to have a healthier dish with the fish being the main showstopper. Probably wouldn’t return as there’s much better places, however it’s good if you’re on the beach all day and want a very nearby lunch.

This a place we discovered on our last day before we returned home which was a shame as would have eat there more often. It is located opposite the casino and the views were outstanding. Food was really good and freshly cooked, lovely atmosphere and staff and I was particularly impressed with their interaction with young children I would certainly recommend it for family group. Lovely experience and when return will visit more often.

Very nice location with a view over the sunset and sea. I ordered the fresh sea bass, a waiter deboned it in front of me. It was super tender and very tasty. Served with saltbaked potatoes, vegetables and fries. My companions have tasted better pizza elsewhere. I recommend choosing seafood options when visiting here. Booking a table could be a smart thing, as a group of people unannounced tried sitting on a reserved table and got offended and left when a waiter told them it was reserved. The waiter may have been a bit harsh in telling them.

Another of those restaurants we've walked past many times, so it was their turn to be tried, & yes another very good restaurant we'd be happy to go back to. The service was very good, plenty of choice on the menu & excellent seaview. Mrs B ordered Grilled Pork Fillet @ €11.95 with Roquefort Sauce @ €2.25 & I ordered BBQ Spare Ribs €12.05. All food was very good, very tasty, well presented & served Hot. Along with 2 beers @ €1.50 & a water €2.35, & including IGIC the Total Bill was €33.81, which was quite acceptable.

We were staying at the Bougainville Playa and this was within walking distance. I looked online for a restaurant with live music. We were very comfortable and we had a lovely meal. We had simple grilled fish, pasta and chicken soup. Everything tasted good and was beautifully presented. I must say that this particular waiter was exceptional. He has such a good way with customers. He really made our night with a 13 year old. The live music gives this restaurant my thumbs up and the food is above average. Worth a visit 👍

If I could have given this place a 0 star rating I would have. Staff were very rude. Never said please or thank you at all. When taking order they came over and said only the word , ‘yes’ as a way for us to place the order. Food was horrible. Chicken tasted like it had been reheated and the veg was sloppy. Paella was like microwave rice and barely edible. Prawns were off poor quality. Wouldn’t come back even if they paid me

Ate here whilst out for an evening walk down the coastal path. Food was delicious I had the penny Monica which I think tasted a little different to pastas you get everywhere. Had a sort of sweet gravy taste to the sauce and the meat was plentiful. Filled me up nicely. Wife had a creamy chicken pasta which sh too enjoyed very much. Portion sizes weren't too much. We share a garlic and rosemary foccacia which was nice but had better. Wine list is extensive along with cocktail list with some unusual choices. I had the Purple Rain which was nice tasted a little red winey with a little sweetness. Would go back definitely
