Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Spent one Friday night here, just myself & my husband, lovely hike & sight seeing before dinner & drinks. Staff were extremely friendly, food was gorgeous, room was spacious, comfy & clean. Breakfast was tasty, sad we had to leave, will definitely return.

Booked the lodge for our Dad's 79th birthday dinner for a family group and from start to finish, it was such a lovely evening. From the bar staff, to the waiting staff, they all made sure to make such a fuss of our Dad and...ensured we were looked after from start to finish. Special mention to Martin, Josie and Kirsty who all looked after us so well..There was a brilliant buzz in the pub when we arrived and that maintained throughout the evening. Our meal was absolutely gorgeous and deserts were also top notch! For a family occasion you will find nowhere better and we will definately be back again soon. A huge thank you from my Dad and all of the family for really lovely evening and a great meal xMore

This historic lodge is tricky to find (it took us a couple of tries) but this charming place is not to be missed. A warm fire, friendly staff and lots of convivial conversation greeted us. We had venison sausage with a delicious onion compote and...smoked salmon as a starters. Both were excellent. Our mains were rack of lamb and venison medallions. The lamb could have been a little more pink but was very tasty nonetheless. The venison was tender and rare as requested. A splendid evening and a great meal.More

Stayed here again this weekend. It’s my go to place. It’s a sanctuary. The food and service is always good here. I even went for the raspberry cheesecake, It reminds me of staying in my Granny’s. The rooms are functional and comfortable and as usual...had a good nights sleep woke up to a lovely breakfast and headed back to the real world.More

Beautiful location. Delicious food. We had steak, venison and lamb dishes all which were perfectly cooked. We just stumbled upon it and really glad we did! We were really lucky to get a table though so I'd recommend booking ahead.

This is really a super spot. All the staff are really really nice and really friendly. We stayed for one night b n b and also ate there that night having climbed the nearby Spinc. The food we ate was of the highest standard and...very tasty At€50 each for b n b it offers exceptional value for a great experience in a beautiful location. After a building up a thirst from our climb.... Lol we had drinks and a 3 course meal which was scrumptious. Highly recommend and looking forward to going back already!More
