We have visited this restaurant before but always in the summer, where we were impressed by both the food and service. We visited for the first time in winter upon Christmas Eve and were not disappointed. We were greeted by a complimentary glass of Prosecco, the service was fantastic as was the food. We were so impressed we visited again 4 days later - a complimentary starter and also super food to follow.
Friendly staff and the service and attention to detail was excellent.

Had our bits of ups and downs in Massa di Mare earlier but this was definitely top. The service was excellent even with two kids and a dog. Excellent ambience. Food was great and decent value for what it was (steak, sushi, fresh fish and risotto). Special thanks to the really great staff that night. Would recommend to anyone.

We ate here during our 14 night stay at the Hotel Stella della Versilia which it is located at.
A point to note is that the menu doesn't include any starters - which to me initially seemed odd. However, you do get a basket of various breads which are very tasty and to be honest I often find starters a bit of a diversion (and expense) and I'm more than happy we didn't feel obliged to have one.
The food itself is excellent - and my wife and daughter have restricted diets and it was no problem getting something special/off-menu prepared for them.
Likewise they have a range of deserts - but if you fancied something that wasn't listed one-day, such as ice cream for instance, it was no problem ordering it.
Finally, I think what raises this restaurant above the norm is that the staff are all extremely nice and helpful and go out their way to look after you.
So during our 14 night stay we were more than happy to eat here rather than look for any other restaurant.

Excellent especially the mushrooms. Enjoyed two lovely meals at this restaurant. Staff very friendly, the chef took a personal interest in his customers satisfaction.

Our first experience in this restaurant and it will definitely not be the last. Excellent dinner above our (which were still high...) expectations. All very, very good from appetizer to dessert. The wine list is vast and rich in excellent labels. Excellent value for money, honestly I would have expected a bill a little more "heavy". Good and see you next time.

Nothing to complain about the service. The food was also of medium-good quality, without praise. Fried fish so-so. The thing that I really didn't like, however, was the lack of a tablecloth or, at least, a placemat. We had dinner by the pool on the tables surrounding it. They are satin metal tables. No tablecloth, placemat or at least a placemat... the plates with food, glasses and cutlery placed there like that... with even some dirt. Given the prices and the location it doesn't really fit.

I have been to this restaurant several times, which is located inside a beautiful hotel, Stella della Versilia... In a refined atmosphere you can taste delicious dishes with high quality raw materials with always successful combinations. The menu offers a vast choice of dishes with a predominance of seafood but with land options….. The service and the super-stocked wine list are also excellent….. compliments to the chef and all the staff…..

The location is very beautiful and well-kept, surrounded by greenery
The cuisine, however, is very pretentious, with low quality raw materials, unsuccessful contrasts and a dubious dish.
The only positive note was the bread basket, with focaccia and breadsticks, which turned out to be the best

We were staying at the Hotel Stella della Versilia and we had dinner almost every evening in the L'Olivo restaurant: STUNNING!!
Poolside table, every evening a different dish with one constant: attention to detail, flavours, research and study of the dishes. The bread, the breadsticks, the focaccia and the seed puff are a real treat; all home-made.
Chef Michele Mancini, in addition to being a nice person who takes care of customers (even pampering and spoiling them), makes his passion and skill shine through in every dish.
Excellent value for money, truly high quality and research of dishes!!
Every evening a delicious dinner.
Oh, every evening they also prepared a small plate for our one-year-old with vegetables from their garden. Top!
