I was here with 22 cyclists and this cozy restaurant welcomed us with no problem, in fact, they went out of their way to please us. The feast they prepared was excellent and plentiful!. I would love to come back again!.
We really enjoyed our evening meal at this restaurant. We'd been travelling all day so didn't know quite how much we wanted to eat so we ordered a couple of dishes and then more food later. The carafe of red wine was very reasonably priced...and the staff were lovely. The owner saw us looking at the old B+W photo on the wall by us and pointed out his father and grandfather in front of the very same restauarnt. He told us they were celebrating 100 years of the restaurant next year and told us to come back! We would love to!More
I love this place, the owners are friends of ours and we come as soon as we arrive to Porretta..
Memories come to life as soon as we enter, and the the food.. tagliatelle, tortellini, tortelloni, nodini, carcioffi..
Trattoria Toscana is very interesting. It is standing just by the main square in Porretta so you could be afraid that with the location and such generic name you could walk into tourist trap. But that is not the case. There are stories among locals...that the owner is very specific person and if you come late (according to his criteria, or if he does't like you, you can be escorted out or if lucky only charged more), but if true, that is coming with the charm of this place. I did not experience it and I was already several times here. Service is good, food is basic, not pretentious but good and enjoyable. One of best in Porretta for sure.More
Wonderfully Italian restaurant with a lots of locals. English menu and server for non Italian speaking a plus.
The mushroom pasta and boar were excellent the atmosphere was fabulous and the price right. We had a wonderful evening and were served a delicious blueberry liquor...as a cordial.
Friendly and welcoming service despite us knowing very little Italian. An English menu can be produced. Delicious tortellini with ricotta and tomato and butter sauce. Delicate flavour. Very popular with a local feel. We walked in at 7pm and were able to reserve a table...for 10 minutes or so later when the were ready to serve.More
