We had a family lunch at this popular restaurant overlooking the town of Gracias, Lempira. Good pork chops (chuletas), excelente piping hot refried beans covered with cheese served in a charcoal warmed clay pot (Anafre). The meat ordered by our large group was well prepared....The only disappointments the enchilada plate, mushy and bland.More

Basic but very clean facility managed and staffed with wonderful people, very friendly and and always smiling and very accommodating. Good breakfast served. They even helped me in getting a cake to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting...Gracias.More

We stayed here for four nights and enjoyed many meals here. Our favorites were the chicken rollitas and the vegetable rollitas and the spaghetti bolognese. All of our breakfasts were great - my husband worked his way through the menu and I had the fruit...with yogurt and granola. Enjoyed that as well as the passion fruit juice. Everything is great here - the staff are super friendly esp. our favorite, Julissa - just the sweetest and very attentive, and the most happy smile ever. The view of Gracias from the restaurant is great and we also enjoyed all of the flowers. I would highly recommend this restaurant :)More

I read some reviews and expected a fine dining place... however I encountered decent food but nothing special at all.. the prices are fair but as I said don't expect any fine dining or such. it is just standard Honduran cuisine...

Even if you're not a fan of Honduran food, you will like it here. They offer the basic typical dishes and a few other ones, they prepare them well and serve them with lots of love. The staff is amazing and so is the setting.

Relaxing restaurant with a beautiful view and a great value. They have a nice variety and their hot chocolate will warm you up on a cold day. They also have coffee beans for sale.

We were in Gracias Honduras for a week on a mission trip. Half of our group stayed at Guancascos. I stayed at a nearby hotel. We had every breakfast and dinner served at Guancascos. Since we had a large group everything was served buffet style....The food was all excellent. I can't say that we had a bad meal. It ranged from spaghetti and fettuccini, grilled tilapia, pork steaks, chicken with rice and beans, to Honduran style burritos. My favorite was the meal with chicken burritos. We also had chips and salsa and beans in an enafre. I am getting hungry thinking about all the good food. They have a menu that looks great too. Plan on visiting if you are in Honduras. The staff is very friendly and there is an amazing view but be sure to stay for the great food.More
