My friends and I went to El Patio for lunch one day and they told me to be prepared for some fine Mariachi music, well that was an understatement on their part, the band consisted of 9 beautiful women that played their hearts out to the point when they played tears welled up in my eyes because I have never heard Mariachi... We visited El Patio for dinner, and though the atmosphere is quite pretty (outdoor lush courtyard), the food left a lot to be desired. We started off with a Queso Fundido, which was fairly good, followed by the Sopa Azteca, or tortilla soup, which basically was a lukewarm tomato soup (think Campbells) with a few tortilla strips and small pieces... This has long been a favorite restaurant in Tlaquepaque! I enjoy the atmosphere and the food is always excellent. On this last trip they added a new item to their menu that is really delicious. They are carrot burritos with a lettuce and cheese garnish! I know....you are thinking I don't think so! Try them....they are incredible! Everything else is... More

We stopped in while on a tour of the area and we thought we would take a chance. We did not have any prior info or reviews. The patio was lovely and the service was the fastest we have experienced in the past two months in Mexico. I had the Mexican Plate that included a fantastic arrachera and my husband... More

The food is okay here, but if you arrive in the afternoon (be sure and check with the restaurant for times) they have wonderful female mariaches there. This is a very busy restaurant so the service is not the standard "on top of it" service you normally receive in Mexico.

The tables are arranged around a beautiful fountain garden. Margaritas are outstanding and the food is delicious. Mariachis add to the ambiance.

Recently we took in the daily Lady Mariachis and Mexican dancers for a light afternoon snack with entertainment. This is Tlaquepaque at its finest! The setting in the garden patio with the authentic entertainment was most enjoyable. This is one of my favorite things to do in Tlaquepaque! The food is good and there is a wide variety of choices.... More

The salad and Gorditas were just right for a light lunch. Nice atmosphere and the bonus was the all female mariachi band. Nice selection of pastries to round out a meal. The day that my husband and I were at the restaurant we were the only non-Mexican patrons. Service was very friendly and even though the restaurant was full, one... More

Had lunch and margarita's with 2 co-workers. The food was very good, the Margarita's were the best I've had outside of my own home in years. When you enter, they give you a flag of your home country to put on your table, so you will see Canadians, Germans, Americans, etc.. Definitely a tourist place, but prices were very reasonable,...
