Quality foods with very good price

Totally recommended place to go to have a nice dinner with very good price. We had shrimp saganaki, cabbage roll with meat and rice inside, followed by veal liver with fava.. they are just sooo good.. They served us free Raki as aperitif and sweet wine with nice chocolate brownie as free dessert. The staff was so nice too. With all of the yummy foods we had plus 2 large beers, we paid less than 40€.. it’s just amazing !

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and it was a fantastic choice. Most tables are outside and the vibe is pretty casual but not slow. My favourite dish was sausage onifologio and the policita (a cheese pie) was delicious too. It’s a tapas type of restaurant and we found that 4 reasonably priced dishes were perfect for 2 of us. Will go again the next time we are in Kamari.

Amazing - must visit!

This was our best dinner during our stay in Santorini. A proper local feel (we were the only non locals eating) and delicious food. We also got to try two drinks on the house. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We especially liked the cat sleeping throughout our meal in the flowerbed next to our table (clearly has good taste in restaurants)!! Unlike all other restaurants in kamari, we were left to read the menu at the door without being pestered to come in (others need to take note!!!!!)

Great experience

We were delighted to eat here as the food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and offered us some things on the house: a small apetizier, a local spirit(raki), some nice dessert and flavoured wine at the end. Must try this restaurant!

Customer Service is 🔥

Place was packed when we came so opted to stay semi-indoors, already got a feeling that this is the best in town. Proved to be right when we sat down, 0 waiting time, mini appetizers were served with Raki along with the menu, small things for munching on while we were deciding what to get. Already impressed from this moment. Lady who got our orders was also kind, she advised properly if we were getting more than we can or not, what’s for sharing and so... when the meals came, I just gorged out on the tasty food!! Got tzatziki and santorinian salad which were both awesome. Husband got some meat balls on top of a pita and it was heaven! When we asked for the bill, it came with a complimentary house dessert and a homemade wine. They made our night!!!

Excellent greek mezze with good vegetarian options (few and far between in Kamari). Friendly service and fast as well. Dinner started with complimentary Raki drinks and ended with tasty dessert wine and small slices of cake (different cakes on different days). Strongly recommend the Halloumi and the Manouri cheeses!

Worth Every Calorie!

Our bartender at Kalya Suites (there will be a review shortly on that), Nikko recommended Pinakio and as my title states it was worth every calorie. We went on our last night in Kamari, which was a Saturday, and got there at just the right time before the dinner rush because we did not have a reservation. We had the sausage appetizer, the hallumi wrapped in puff pastry, the salad (I wish I could remember the name of it) and the chicken souvlaki and all were fantastic and matched the service which was very attentive and friendly. Make sure to check out Pinakio when you are in Kamari, Santorini!

Authentic taverna with superb Greek cuisine

Visited twice during 4 night stay in Kamari.It was recommended by the taxi driver,Thoedore, on transfer from Fira as the place the locals choose for authentic greek food. We4 sat inside once and outside once.Dimitri and his staff are very friendly, great at recommending dishes and explaining in detail how they are prepared. The food was outstanding and by far the best we tasted in our 7 nights on Santorini. Chicken souvlaki in honey & mustard was a stand out, potato salad and Santorini said also superb. Even the Vinsanto with complimentary chocolate torte was great-but the Raki is not for the faint hearted :)

GREAT Authentic Greek Food....FINALLY

If you're in Santorini and looking for Greek food it's extremely difficult, however through local recommendation we were told to try this place and we're so glad we did. In Kamiri, I might be wrong but this is the ONLY proper greek restaurant which is just crazy. the menu is smallish, which better as you know the food will be fresh and better prepared. We loved the menu as we were getting tired of other restaurants catering mostly chips, pizza, pasta etc, we've come on holiday to eat local food. The gentleman who served us was great, very kind, natural, and a pleasure to be around. We chose a selection of tapas dishes which were all great, notably the sausage and the chicken pittas. The waiter kept bringing local liqueurs to try which not to my taste was a well-received kind gesture. Not sure why, must have said something nice, but he then gave us a free chocolate dessert which was delicious. This is, without doubt, the best restaurant in Kamiri.

This is the best restaurant we ate at during our stay in Kamari. Its not the beach front, chic type of vibe which we normally go for in a place such as Santorini, but it's authentic Greek food, at a very reasonable price. The owner is wonderful, works as hard as all his staff and is so humble. We never eat at the same restaurant more than once so that we can ensure we try different places, but this time we couldn't not go back! The portions are big - we went for a couple of mezze plates and a main meal each and it was far too much - either go for mains, or pick 3/4 mezzes to 2 people. The food is brilliant, so flavoursome and is made to order, so you get your food when it's hot and ready, no food sitting around/cooling down. Was brilliant, thank you so much!

Best authentic Greek food with a warm welcome and lots of welcoming touches. Great value too!

A lovely authentic Greek restaurant and at excellent prices! We were made to feel very welcomed and were greeted with a complementary liqueur. The food was beautiful and service was great. You also get a complimentary dessert (whichever dessert they made that day) and a complimentary dessert liqueur. Best value meal we’ve ever had and totally delicious! If you want a great welcome and food, then do not miss this place.

We got very lucky!

Usually a very busy and understandably why restaurant. Previous years we have had to book but we turned up later in the evening and there was a lovely table for two waiting to be used so we did. The menu here is different with many excellent choices however they also offer a meze selection so we thought why not? Wow we were so glad we did! Bread and raki are provided free to get you started and also a perfect solution to the wonderful juices several of our selections were served in which needed mopping up! I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant if you like variations and choice. The staff are excellent and very helpful. You may need to book in advance but worth the wait.

We came across this place in a tour guide book at the airport and we thought to give it a try. Both visits were excellent, food was full of flavour and very authentic. The fava dip (split peas) was the best we ever had, the lemon pork was amazing, and the grilled octopus was cooked to perfection. We were also offered some raki on the house once we sat and some sweet wine and a dessert for 2 when we asked for the bill. The service was quick and efficient and the staff were very friendly. We highly recommend!

Our favourite restaurant in kamari

This was our favourite restaurant in Kamari where we ate three times during our weeks holiday. It was such a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the waterfront restaurants. The staff were genuinely friendly. We chose to share various meze dishes all of which were generous portions and delicious. After your meal you are given a little dessert and glass of spiced red wine on the house. On our last night we were also given a complimentary half litre of wine which was a lovely gesture. When it was time to leave it felt like we were saying goodbye to friends.

Best place in Kamari!

This restaurant was recommended by locals. If you want to share some mezze, this is the place to be. All the family was pleased with the food (even our son who is pretty fussy). Raki was offered before the meal and dessert was offered at the end. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will go back in the next days.
