Baslow Hall pretends to be ancient with lots of local stone, stone balustrades and stone mullioned windows but it was only built in 1909 and extensively rebuilt after a catastrophic fire in the early eighties! Having said that, the 'oldie worldy feel' is abundant and...More

By far our favourite restaurant in the UK. Only problem it is a round trip of 180 mls for lunch but it is worth it. We like the friendly greeting on arrival and the comfy lounge where, unlike many establishments, you can enjoy a preprandial...More

We went for the winter tasting menu option, each course was expertly cooked with a full description of the ingredients, got to say that this was a very pleasing experience with some ingredients I would not normally choose (Dorset Snails). The cost is about average...More

Don't be put off by preconceived notions; you will be able to relax and be well treated in a very relaxed atmosphere. Stuffiness is not a Derbyshire trait.
