As part of the Bespoke Distillery Tour, we had lunch at The Mash Tun. It was a wonderful lunch. We loved the location and the fact that everything was very, very clean. Plus, the staff was extremely accommodating and most helpful. As part of our tour, we also had a special whiskey tasting arranged at the pub. Mark was exceptional... More

This place came recommended and was full to the gunnels on a mid week evening. The staff were happy to squeeze us in even though we hadn't booked a table. The food was tasty, served quickly and the staff were ever so helpful. Best part was the fantastic whisky selection on offer.

This restaurant is very good for lunch or dinner. We did both with friends for lunch and the quality was very good. Later we stayed for a dinner and even then we weren't dissapointed. Next to all of this you can stay for the night especially if you wish to sample from their comprehensive whisky bar. Note: they have the... More

Whilst we did not expect hushed conversation in what is basically a bar, the noise level emanating from a party of about twelve totally dominated and even spoilt the experience. When they were eating was a blessed relief. We arrived at 7.00 as per the reservation, ordered as soon as approached and were served at just before 8.00. I felt... More

We never booked which was a mistake - waited an hour for a table, but enjoyed a comprehensive whiskey bay experience (complete with tasting notes) and chatting to many locals while waiting. Many walk-ins were turned away - we got lucky. Food was homely. Nothing gourmet, but very pleasant and plentiful. Staff coped, but were stretched to capacity as 2... More
