Made a reservation over the phone for an overnight stay and had to plead with the landlady to rent me a room. Arrived after 11 pm in the sleepy, rustic village and knocked at a few doors before someone opened and let me in. They woke up the elderly owner and he showed me the room upstairs. Clean and comfortable,... More

Eight of us had dinner in the beautiful garden of this hotel, illuminated by fairy lights from the trees. The dinner was exceptional for its price, particularly if you are into nouvelle cuisine. Each course was beautifully presented and the pudding was absolutely sensational and is well described by one of your recent reviewers. The only problem was that, although... More

When my parents told me about their experience in this restaurant, I decided I had to go there too, so I invited them and didn't regret it at all! The house itself is very nice decorated, atmosphere is great, typically French, but relaxed. There was a bigger group in the restaurant so they closed the doors between the 2 spaces... More

Excellent cooking & service for the third time running recently. A little pricey, but well worth a visit. We were also impressed by the wine list: I chose one of my favourite Cotes du Rhone reds, and was more than impressed. Worth travelling quite a way to when you're in this area near the Pyrenees, if you want to experience... More

A few minutes from the highway, thir restaurant offers amazing cuisine, especially entrée et desserts. Once the cook manage to perfect the main dish, wich is actually very good but not exceptionnal nor very innovative, it will be worth a Michelin one star restaurant. Very affordable, excellent quality, a must go.

I've been frequenting this establishment for over forty years. In that time, it has evolved from a good, robust, country-cooking table, to a genuine gourmet experience. The current chef has a delightful penchant for 'faux-semblants' - imitation-real items, mainly for the desserts (a yuzu or a giant strawberry created from sugar, a banana or a peach from tinted white chocolate),... Castet was recommended to us by our host, Robert Palaminy, and we were not disappointed. The service could not be better, and the food is as delicious and the presentation is spectacular. One dessert = can't remember what it was exactly = was encased in a peach created out of sugar that was a work of art. When you tapped... More

I was there with friends for lunch twice last week. The three course menu at 19 euros is just perfect. Very good food. New selection of dishes every day. Professional service. Highly recommended.

We lunched here twice while on holiday in August 2015, in beautiful sunshine under the trees. The menu at 19 Euros was excellent, a simple but delicious fixed price three course menu. I have included some photos of the dishes as they were were just as tasty as they looked!
