The ladies prepare excellent food and are a joy to visit with. They shared their stories of growing up in the small community, and made us feel so welcome. We had pizza, and ate there twice in our four days in Turangi.

We ordered a chicken pasta dish that was pretty good. It only cost $15 NZD. Climbing wall next to the restaurant.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting Rafting NZ. Excellent food and service. The anti-pasto platter was delicious and the kids enjoyed the seafood platter. They thought the chips were delicious!

We popped by the cafe for a quick lunch of pizza and quiche. The margerita pizza ($10) was thinly crusted, which is a winner with us. The tomato and cheese layer was nicely done, and flavourful enough without toppings. The spinach and feta quiche ($4) was tasty as well. We then decided to give it a second go for dinner... More

Almost un-eatable. Pie, mash, peas & gravy ordered $10. Took ages to be served only to discover chips instead of mash, no gravy and a very dry pie. The pizza was awful with very little topping, base wasn't crisp, etc, etc. Made us feel ashamed to be KIWIS's if this is what they serve tourists.

3 adults and 3 children, 2 children had been on the rock climbing business next door and were famished. We noticed very little vegetarian options, so settled for Toasted sandwiches. Stated clearly to the lady who took our orders that 3 were vegetarians; When the sandwiches arrived, they were made from cheese and Bacon Bread....... They were returned, meanwhile very... More

Toi has brought Turangi's food and entertainment scene into the 21st century. Manaakitanga (hospitality) and tasteful metropolitan influences have been bought together in an atmosphere of casual sophistication. We found the welcoming service of the owners and polite staff to be first rate. By day Toi provided the perfect child friendly sanctuary for time out from our busy holiday schedule.... More
