This New Zealand country restaurant is situated in a holiday beach location with food and service way superior to what you would expect. The owners really really do try hard! The service was excellent without being intrusive. The food offerings were plentiful using good quality fresh produce prepared and presented to a very high standard. Their wine list was extensive... The food was delicious and very well presented, and more importantly for us: decent sizes! Prompt service by very friendly staff. Hardly any waiting time, comfortable surroundings. The dessert (lemon meringue curd) was the best dessert we have tasted during our holiday of 2 weeks:-)

familh went for Sunday evening twenty dollar meals. We all ordered a different option. The Asian meal full of coriander that it wasn't able to be finished. The battered mussels and chips was made using marinated mussels as we could taste the vinegar , sadly it wouldn't be my first to go back to, although staff and atmosphere was fine

We reply to your review dated yesterday- we do not have battered mussels on our Sunday $20 menu. We are sorry to hear that you felt there was too much coriander in this dish as our servings are always the same for each portion and this particular dish has been very popular with many of our customers. Had the best dinner and dessert! I had the pork belly meal which was cooked to perfection, not a spot left on my plate, the sauce especially was delicous!!!Enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, clean and tidy 😊 beautiful, friendly and kind staff.. i highly reccommend the trio of chocolate for dessert if your undecided on what you want that... We had great steaks here. The beer was limited on the night we went but still good. They also looked after my son who was desperate for wifi. The food was good value and the service was brilliant. The trainer waitress was also awesome. Overall a good night out.

I ordered the lamb. The service was great. The lamb was delicious but the lamb in the spring roll was unpleasant. The veges were very sparse, hardly any at all and the potato cake was tasteless. For a $32.50 meal I thought it was very average and many people would be hungry after this. Not a place I would go... More

We are sorry to hear this. I do recall waiting on your table, wished we knew how you felt at the time of dining because the lamb continues to be a popular dish on our menu. At the time of your review we had tried the spring roll and unsure what was unpleasant but made a change to the potato.... More
