Bad service, average food, rude waitress and don't accept credit cards only cash payments. A very bad experience.

This restaurant is supposed to serve fresh and well prepared fish. We had Caldeirada de peixe and eiroses. With caldeirada they won the first prize recently. That was not the case this time with us. It was bad luck? No, it was not well prepared and the fish (some kinds) was not fresh. With a fantastic view and in Costa... More

Restaurante o Barbas is located just at the sea front at Costa da Caparica, where you can find the best beaches around Lisbon. The place is known by his iconic owner and his passion for Benfica, and when you get there you can't miss the place. We've had a sea bass for 3, and it was very fresh and well... More

This restaurant is quite bland. The Food is ok, not great, and the service is at times ok, but often is quite bad. You wait a lot of time and don't try to make any special request or question. The only thing good about the restaurant is the view, but you can get the same view in other places in... More

This beach restaurant is well located near our beautiful cost line of Costa da Caparica. Here, you can find some amount of our tradicional portuguese dishes but the specialty is fish and sea food.

Barbas offers great food, great views BUT his waiters are sort of getting old and cranky! Some love their job and cherish their clients, others are stuck in Castro Communist I hate you attitude and let's face it! It is MY MONEY PAYING their salary! Therefore do NOT be shy, ask bluntly to the waiter ARE YOU NICE OR CRANCKY,... More

Had a lovely lunch here today. I chose the Gambas (prawns in garlic) it was one of the best I've tasted and a generous portion. There's a set menu of 3 courses for around €15. Very busy but happy waiters.

The restaurant is OK if you're looking for a typical restaurant with a very portuguese approach on how to cook fish. Stay on fish and you'll be just fine.

The waiter was nice-not overly friendly. We had the steak and fries-not good at all. Tasted pan fried and over cooked! No seasoning or ketchup for fries. We had a salad with it and no dressing-tried to contact the waiter to ask for some but he was too busy with other customers. I feel there are better places to eat... More
