This place is everything it lives up to. The food is delicious, and plentiful. The bar is full of character and craic and the staff are all lovely. The smoking area/beer garden is massive and is out the front of the pub. It is full of old Irish awesome stuff! There are blankets just inside the door for those who... More

Well worth a visit to this unusual pub. Food and craic both excellent. Live music brilliant too. We went mid-week and it was busy but we found a table as it is quite extensive. Staff were very efficient. A really good experience.

Visited this pub, having just arrived in Ireland, and the meal was excellent. The Mussels starter was plenty enough for two people in a lovely cream sauce. The Irish stew was delicious and my husband's crab and smoked salmon salad was excellent too. A quirky building and friendly staff made a memorable meal.

Lunch on Saturday. I just love it. The food is always good and I always have the seafood. Loads to look at in nooks. Didn't stay for the music this time. But will always return.

The Pub is famous, of course. You can't fault the surroundings and the atmosphere of the place. But...the food is a bit overpriced and the service was not that great. Me and my guest had to wait a while to be served ordered a Mountain Lamb & Cashel Blue Salad but the lamb tasted more like forest ham from Lidl.... More

Famed as the highest pub in Ireland. Foxes is a mishmash of ornaments antiques and collectibles. This makes it quirky and you can spend an age going through all the nooks and crannys. Food wise it performs though. Table for 4 and we all loved the food. I will def return

We had just finished a long trek up to the Hellfire Club on a dull day and our weary feet led us to this fine establishment, the tallest pub in Ireland. We quickly found an empty table in the back and settled at the table to read the menu and soak in the atmosphere while resting our tired limbs. My... More

Been here a few times, and when we had relatives coming from Canada, we figured we'd take them up. Last time I reviewed, I gave 4 out of 5, but this time, I have to give full marks. Great experience from the first moment we contacted JF's, they accommodated with a slight booking change with seemingly little effort. Fast forward... More

Our meal at Johnnie Fox's was first class. Oyster, prawns, salmon, a traditional Irish stew, cabbage/potatoes and bacon and feather blade beef that melted in the mouth. The musician was good and also funny - he had everyone joining in the singing. Definitely give this place a try.
