We were spoilt as earlier in the day we ate at one of the local eateries off the beaten track and it was amazing in every way. We chose to have dinner here as it is right on the canal so the location is great and it was our last night so we thought it would be perfect. It was... More

A calm summer night, good company, choosing a restaurant on the port, we took our seats at Brasserie la Cybele soon to be squeezed in so our disabled friend could not even get out from around the table. The gambas were not so fresh - the persillade sauce was full of prawn feelers and tasted like prawn heads, the rice... More

One of 3 or4 other restaurants on this street, it is theonly one right on the Canal rather than across the street. It was too hot for us to eat cassoulet, the unavoidable specialty of Castelnaudary, so we just had salads which were ok. The cassouets dishes looked just too huge butr smelled divine!

My friend and I on a day out ordered 2 salads here. We ordered Paysanne salad as my friend cannot eat fried foods. We were delivered 2 more expensive salads which included fried chicken. We tried to explain quietly they were incorrect. The woman immediately raised her voice almost yelling telling us we were wrong. I have been a restaurant... More

On the river and the kitchen provides a nice choice for lunch and wine. We chose the black pudding and regional salad. Delicious and the staff provide a nice welcome - working out of a attendant barge. Nice place to watch the floating world go by.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch hamburger here. The service was excellent. The food was prepared on a nearby barge. A lovely spot to sit and watch the coming and goings of people and water craft. A great spot to stop if you are cycling too. I recommend taking a leisurely walk to the Grand Basin.

Great food and staff. Beautiful setting. Really enjoy an evening here in the summer by the canal. Can also hire a little boat for a punt from them.

Served very good food. Prime position next to the canal. The duck burger was very tasty, give it a go.

Great meal on the side of the Canal du Midi. The starter of. Salad Gesier made us nervous at first but turned out to be a very tasty part of the duck. The Cassoulet prepared with local ingredients, except the beans was delicious. Local Malepere wine added to the meal. Table arrangement good enabling lots of friendly chat, if desired.... More

Great location on the canal. The food is cooked in a boat alongside the restaurant, which is fun. Staff are friendly and food is good. More burgers & fries than French cuisine, but cassoulet and lovely salads are there too.
