A group of 7 enjoyed a dinner here before heading off on our boating trip. The dinner was excellent value (160€) for all with several pitchet (pitchers) of house wine. Several of us tried the cassoulette. I'm writing this a week later and thus far...More

This has to be the gold standard for cassoulet! The broth in the cassoulet was addictive, the beans cooked to perfection, the meat was excellent, although I prefer a less-dense sausage, but the Toulouse sausage is the classic. If you want more duck, order the...More

My family and I had the chance to go eat at La Belle Epoque during our last trip to France. The food is great! If you want to eat the best Cassoulet with its duck confit, you have to go eat in this family-owned restaurant....More

We were attracted to the restaurant by reviews of its cassoulet (the signature dish of Castelnaudary). Everyone else lunching there seemed to have the same idea. We were not disappointed. It is slightly difficult to find as it is on the fringe of the town....More

La Belle Epoque was our 2nd attempt at finding a good cassoulet and boy did it deliver. Rich but not heavy with a lovely crunch on top. My partner's lamb was cooked just right, pink and juicy.

Nice restaurant, plain decor but welcoming. Does have a couple of outside seating. Good menu but half of it wasn't available the night we visited. Staff friendly and helpful, chef popped round after dinner to see if we enjoyed. Can't complain about the food, but...More

We were 3 couples travelling in France and enjoying French cuisine was a big part of that journey so we ate out most days. We really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant and Jean Pierre, the owner was a big part of that. He spoke...More

Have now eaten here four times; twice last year and twice, recently. This is partly because two of my husband's favourite dishes are available here: herring and potato salad for a starter and rognons (kidneys). We've also enjoyed the cassoulet. My steak was perfectly cooked,...More

Ate dinner for two, everything was ok, but nothing was very special for the price. Paid 110 Euro for two courses and wine. The wine as a very nice Minervois, but the veal and steak entrees were average and the vegetables were disappointing. OK, but...More

We visited here by chance as the restaurant we wanted to visit was closed. It was pretty busy, but service was still good. There are set menus in most restaurants and this restaurant was the same. I had the quiche to start, which was served...More

From the Palmes to the Belle Epoque, The restoration is for us a profession But above all a passion. From Pierre Poggioli in 1956 to Jean-Pierre, since 1980, The know-how, like our cassoulet, king dish with us, Is transmitted from father to son. The Belle Epoque is a traditional cuisine With a fancy grain To the good taste of the products of terroir.
