Amateur food service, broken-down garden equipment for children, No real beer, only lager, couldn't, the care less attitude.

We went in the pub and the atmosphere was not very welcoming. The place is painted in white therefore eliminating that nice old warm pub feeling you normally feel when in a pub. Location location location. Right in the middle of a quiet town.

This Old Ship has run aground... We was there Saturday none of the crew had a clue what was going on and had be asked to do "anything", how could they not see the place needed a tidy. To busy eating crisps at the end of the bar... Where was the captain of this sinking ship... i fear he was... More

We stopped here after a day out in the area unfortunately what we had read about the place did not match what we found, it was not a clean in the gents, damp around the front windows was quite prominent and over all the place was very cold and unwelcoming. It look likes it caters for children more than anything... More

The Ship is a lovely place, very friendly staff and owners and the food is amazing, I have had a few bacon and cheese burgers in my time but never as tasty as the home made steak one I had today in the Ship , we will DEFINITELY be back soon to sample some more amazing food,

Only had a pint in the bar before eating across the road at The Bakery. Most of the beer taps were not in use, but the one that was, delicious. Can't remember the name which isn't much help! To be honest, it wasn't really our kind of pub, the music was too loud but it was convenient and we both... More

I ate Sunday lunch at this pub with a group of friends. The food and prices were average and pretty much what you would expect from pub in the area. The service was a patchy after ordering drinks they seemed to forget about us and we had to attract the waitresses attention to order our mains, but after this service... More

Barn-like, musty-smelling and very poor food. Staff were pleasant, but this place needs investment. I've been here twice and each time wasn't very nice. Such a shame, as the setting, in the heart of the village, is charming and the exterior of the pub, very pleasing.
