We were looking for a place for a meal so had a look on TripAdvisor, we had a look at the reviews and decided this was the place, we pulled up and couldn't get in the car park as it looked like work was being...done also the place looked closed, I drove down the road and turned round to have another go but when pulling in it still looked closed but we parked near the door a chap came out and stood in the doorway just staring at us making us feel very uncomfortable then another couple of younger chaps came out and done the same, we didn't even get out of the car,the place looks run down and shut and going on my first impression I wouldn't eat here.More
Quite busy but our food was good. I had a prawn slald with some excellent bread but my husnad had lamb and loved it. They seem to be able to cater to all kinds of food needs. Of course it is very casual as most...of the diners have been hiking. They also have outdoor places to eat including along the river.More
Had a 3 course xmas meal here recently with friends. Food was excellent, plentiful and hot and tasty!
The only downside to the night was the fact that the pub was extremely cold, quite offputting really.
My partner and I were on our way home from Llanberis to Essex and wanted somewhere to stop for a hearty meal after climbing Snowdon. The pub was en-route so we decided to give it a go. We're so glad we did, we were greeted...nicely and served very quickly. We were advised that the order wouldn't be quick as everything is prepared and cooked fresh. The wait wasn't actually too long and when the food arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The portions were huge and the food piping hot and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in front of the roaring open fire and the landlord showed a genuine interest in what we had been up to and where home was. Very polite and certainly not made to feel like an outsider. Would highly recommend!!More
Stopped off on the way back from North Wales. A very warm welcome, great freshly cooked food and a very relaxed family atmosphere. Highly recommend a visit and will definitely go back on my next trip to North Wales. A big well done to the...owners.More

We stopped for lunch on the way back from North Wales to Bucks. They welcomed us warmly and took our order explaining that everything was cooked fresh so it'd take half an hour or so, which was fine... Time for a very nice Thatchers Gold...and there was a bouncy castle to entertain the kids so we didn't have to! Food came a little earlier than expected and was lovely (quote teenage son: this is my kind of place). Alas, we left our baby change bag and set off, tummies full, on our merrier way. The bag had my wife's purse in it!! I called them and they said they'd kept it safe. I arranged a courier (£8.50 - bargain) and the bag arrived safe and sound in carefully thought out packaging. They even had to print out the courier labels at their end which they did without fuss. People of the Saracen's Head, I salute you. Well worth your custom readers!!More
