When leaving St. Lucia, check in to your flight, but keep your rental car for a bit. Exit the airport, turn right, & find The Reef. Spend a few pleasant hours having a Piton, enjoying some lunch, and watching the kite boarders. Definitely beats waiting in the actual airport!

The Reef Beach Cafe is on the west side of the Anse de Sable Beach just east of Vieux Fort (on the road to the airport). It is popular with locals and tourists. It has delicious fresh Pina Coladas and the food is fresh and well prepared. They have fresh seafood and other kinds of sandwiches, fresh juice, beer and... More

Very casual place. Wings are good, Burgers not very good. Drinks are cold and strong. Decent service. Note there are no other decent standalone (not connected to a resort) restaurants in the area. If you are looking for a place to relax and have some good drinks and average bar food, you won't be disappointed.

I ended up here while waiting between an earlier flight dropoff and my flight. I expected it to be all touristy and inauthentic, but it was the opposite. Other than the planes flying over every hour or so, it was a quiet spot, with breeze, shade, a great view, and extremely relaxed staff and clientele. Free WiFi, good food and... More

Enjoyed dinner and a cold beer after a long flight to the island. Locals and tourists alike were enjoying a meal and drinks. Extensive menu should mean there is something for everyone to enjoy for a meal. I would return to this property.

The setting is super - tables outside under the seagrape trees looking out at Maria Island and the intense blue sea - very rarely not cool and breezy and if you feel so inclined - a dip in the sea is just meters away Stop here for a cold beer or light eats - the menu is simple and food... More

Nice place to get lunch and have a few drinks with friends in Vieux Fort area. You do have the option between indoor and outdoor dining. Food is good and so is the service. Not forgetting the beautiful view of the beach and Maria Islet.
