When you come from Australia like we do, dinner in a castle is quite a treat. The food was of excellent standard and quality. My only criticism is that the desert portions were a bit too small for the €9.50 price tag. Otherwise everything was excellent.

It was a pleasure to dine here - the staff were extremely helpful and the food was excellent. I had a vegetarian option and my husband ate the pork - both meals came with accompanying dishes. Great ambience and good value.

The restaurant is in an ancient building that uses the old features well - with a nice bar, restaurants and function rooms. The staff were all very friendly, especially the bar/waitresses. We had the Euro29 - 3 course menu and just let the chefs send what they were cooking - it was superb with Carpaccio with truffle mayonnaise to start,... More

Wanted to eat here due to the location. It's a beautiful setting. Went for the chef's 3 course menu which was well priced and tasty. However, we were a bit surpised to be charged 9.50€ for bread which was just brought to us. Not very kid friendly overall. Staff were corteous.

Room was so dark unable to see most things clearly! Bread was awful! We didn't enjoy eating here at all.

Since some time now, this castle is under new management. Young and ambitious management no doubt after the last owner had trouble making it work. We have been here a couple of times, and the castle itself is absolutely beautifully restored. The kitchen itself tries to be high class dining and the price is accordingly. However, I am not sure... We bought a special deal online, one night at the Castle with dinner and breakfast included. The room was nice, although the bath, shower and vanity were not separate from the the bed. The bed was great. The rooms were not in the castle but a short walk away on the canal. The menu was a surprise menu. They served... More

Lovely castle and modern rooms. However, beware of the kitchen!! I think this was probably the worst meal I have ever been served (saving the time a chef in Spain opened a can of spaghetti in tomato sauce and poured it onto my plate)! The starter of fish was distinctly rotten, the smell preceeding the dish coming out of the... More

it was ok not a good reason to travel all the way there is just not enough to see or to go into. The place is more a party center than a kasteel
