Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

very nice discovery despite the uninviting storefront!! we took a menu for 2 at 19€ and all the dishes are homemade and really well cooked!! very good score for the chickpeas and pork stew as well as the fish fritters

We first called here for coffees. Couldn’t resist the Carrot Cake. Both coffee and cakes were very good. We also noticed that they had a good selection of Tapas. A couple of days later we had lunch here. The selection of Tapas was great, fish, chicken, beef, lamb, Canarian potatoes, chickpeas, paella, Spanish Omelette and lots more. We had a selection of 5 dishes, between us both. More than enough for lunch served with fresh bread and Canarian sauces. I had a glass of white wine whilst my husband had an alcohol free beer. €21 in total was a great price for a lovely lunch. Lovely friendly service. Definitely recommended.

You can't miss the tapas at the Snack Chiringuito de Teguise, including the wrinkled potatoes with the best mojo picón on the island. Authentic local place. Ideal for tapas after going to the Sunday market. Thank the owner Dulce for her human quality, because after I had forgotten a bag at her place, she came to bring it to the hotel. People like you make a better world.

The place seemed nice to us and prices displayed outside, which is reassuring for tourists. I speak Spanish and yet a problem arises when adding. The waitress told us 4 wines instead of 3 and a piece of pie. This is a difference of 50 cents. But when I explain it to her in Spanish, she pretends not to understand. In short, I had to explain it again because she was very insistent that we pay, no doubt embarrassed by my previous comment. She asked me if I was sure of the price... (does she or I work there?). We checked the sign again when leaving... it was indeed 3 instead of 3.50 which she had counted as an additional drink. Small scam but the lack of good faith really bothered us. With the right price, we would have left a tip... too bad...

Had a great few nights in Teguise, and my wife and I ate here three times. The home cooking was excellent, the service very friendly and accommodating. Their fixed menu is not only amazing value, but delicious. I particularly enjoyed their rabbit stew and seafood paella. Best tapas I ate in Lanzarote by far. A little gem, full of locals playing cards at night, or having a drink.

A very good place to visit for some home-style tapas and friendly service. Enjoyed sitting out in the sun on the side of the street watching the world go by. It seems quite popular with locals too, always a good sign.

One of many places we stopped during the hot weather. Had drinks only in a pleasant spot. Friendly service.

We love to visit Snack Bar El Chiringuito every time we come to beautiful Teguise. This bar is a lovely authentic Spanish tapas bar and they have lovely food and very friendly welcoming service. Highly recommended.

Ordered burgers, pimientos de padron, albondiguas and mousse de gofio. Good food, pleasant view on the beach or a reasonable price.

Husband had a plate of rabbit which he practically licked clean. He said it was the best he’d ever tasted. Ridiculously cheap, great service and the wobbly tables just add to the great rustic atmosphere.

Fantastic value and simply some of the best food on the island. No frills, but a very decent wine available and cheerful, efficient service. Go into the kitchen to choose the specials of the day.
