A very handy place to eat in Praia De Rocha at the Alvor end of the strip. Great Value and quite relaxed with no fuss or hassle. Great variety on the menu and after eating here maybe 6 or 7 times in our last 2...visits to Praia De Rocha I am confident enough to say we will be back again on our next visit. The rest of the family with me have steaks and fish but I usually stick with the €9.95 for 3 course meal. Now being Irish the starter and dessert are miniscule for the likes of what we are used to but the main course such as pork in a mushroom sauce ( with extra roast spuds of course ) is often enough on its own to fill me up. Staff can be a bit manic sometimes but I suppose its quite a long season there. Nice port with your meal is a huge advantage to dining here.More

We went for the €9.95 menu plus a beer each! Soup was light and delicious, didn't taste at all like British tinned soup! Had the piri piri chicken, really authentic and spicy. Had the creme brulee for dessert, was a bit runny but otherwise lovely....Excellent value for money and easy to find.More

Great venue. Hidden from seaview but at the far west of the 'strip'. Lovely interior. Friendly attentive service from Min Hazul, Mou and the team. €9.95 menu includes fish dishes (hake, marlin) but my fave was the liver and onions. Loved the soft rock background...music and there is a happy drinks period 10am to 5pm. Plenty of outdoor seating south facing for the sun and an interior restaurant for cooler January evenings.More

Friendly, great service, cheap beer, tasty food. It was an absolute sun Trap too. We went here several times within our holiday, would recommend.

Called here for lunch, my wife had the Pizza,,Pepperoni, loaded with cheese and topping freshly made, I had the special, 9.95 euro for 3 courses, Garlic Bread, Calamari, chips and salad and Ice cream. Everything fresh and plenty of it. Service excellent, Food piping hot....Will be back. Excellent value.More

My daughter and I visited Claires during our holiday in Portimaõ. We ordered carbonara and a chicken salad. Both looked delicious on arrival but two forkfulls into the salad I removed a long blonde hair belonging to the lady who could be clearly seen working...in the kitchen without a hair net. This put me right off and I sent it back and was given a free drink of my choice. I nibbled at the carbonara ordered by my daughter, it was creamy but very thick and heavy, she only ate about 1/2 the portion. When we went to pay the very apologetic owner now informed me he didn't accept any form of card payment. Very disappointed.More

great value tasty and fresh food. big shout out to Moe who was affable, friendly and professional and Duego who was very friendly. Nice location and great food. Wish I had the luxury of being able to go regularly. Great work guys keep it up

We stumbled across this little restaurant on a walk along the strip and decided to try it out for a meal. Upon entry we were seated in front of an elderly gentleman playing the keyboard and occasionally singing, this would have created a nice atmosphere...if the volume hasn’t of been so loud! The service was average with a young boy who spoke very little English struggling to find the correct tables and communicate with the customers when he made mistakes! The prawn cocktail starter was nice however some prawns were ready to eat while others still had heads and shells attached, making the dish awkward to eat. We also had the garlic bread starter which was three shabby bits of bread roll drowned in oil. The mains however did made up for the poorer starters, I had the chicken in an Algarvian sauce which was flavoursome, well cooked and I’d definitely go back and eat again! My partner had the grilled salmon which was well cooked and full of flavour as well as coming with various sauces on the side to meet anyone’s requests. I would consider returning here for the Algarvian chicken if the service and atmosphere was improved upon.More

We had a lovely meal here ,you can sit inside or out, and there was a chap in the background singing and playing music , well worth a pop in, staff where great.
