Great family start up story (Accountant and Teacher) who watched the Salt Making process in Wales and wondered why there was no Irish equivalent featuring Atlantic Sea Salt - hence Achill Sea Salt was born - and seems to be very successful. The place boasts...a FREE visitor centre - TIP: to the owners - the door was closed and not inviting in September - only for we persisted and checked it was open as barely saw a light on inside - not having coffee available was a BIG disappointment after our travel as all signs leading to the destination are promoting coffee- we understand that students have returned to college and cannot staff the DOCK outside - but would you consider having a COFFEE machine at the counter where the staff member is anyway - even a take away coffee to accompany the delicious SEA SALT FUDGE?More

This small coffee dock is serving a local bean and it's very delicious. Reasonable priced coffee. We were even able to order a coffee drink that was not on the menu which was a nice thing to do.
