Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This used to be a great spot. Full of craic and great conversation. Now it’s a sports bar. The lovely charm has been killed by the big screen and the rude English guy who owns it now. Pity.

Quaint little pub with great atmosphere and drinks cheap as chips. Smallest pub on the island and well worth a visit.

Brilliant pub with a cosy atmosphere in this small building. The welcoming fire was a great surprise with the rain outside. Heads up - it’s cash only! Great Guinness, lovely barmaid and the toilets were sparkling clean!

I'm so happy we stopped over at Lynott Pub! It's such a charming little building and the pub is very cosy and welcoming. It was a cold and rainy day and the open fire was just amazing! The Guinness is also fantastic. I recommend you...make a stop regardless of the time of the day!More

Lynott’s is the best spot to have a drink whilst feeling that you are in another era with the traditional features of the original building. A lovely fire to relax by too!

We were traveling as a family from the United States in the off season throughout county Mayo - and we were pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a pub open and welcoming. The warm fire and atmosphere were a nice break from the chilly...wind outside. We consider ourselves very lucky to have visited when we did as the crowds were almost nonexistent and we really got to enjoy each place on a personal level. This little pub is a must stop if traveling to Achill Island.More
