Lynott’s is the best spot to have a drink whilst feeling that you are in another era with the traditional features of the original building. A lovely fire to relax by too!
Just won pub of the year and you can see why - oodles of charm including the locals and the barmaid who spends her time between working in Achill and The Canaries! not a bad life . . . A MUST VISIT WHEN "ON THE...ISLAND"More
We were allowed to take our dog in which was great. Turf fire was burning in the grate. Owner was sitting at the bar and everyone was very welcoming. Great atmosphere and craic. Lots of very interesting knick knacks to peruse while you have a...pint.More
Great beer, great service, great history - I would highly recommend stopping by for a pint if you find yourself in the area.
Lovely pint of Guinness, lots of character however the atmosphere was definitely lacking, no craic whatsover. A nice spot though for tourist to stop in an sample a lovely pint of the black stuff
We were traveling as a family from the United States in the off season throughout county Mayo - and we were pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a pub open and welcoming. The warm fire and atmosphere were a nice break from the chilly...wind outside. We consider ourselves very lucky to have visited when we did as the crowds were almost nonexistent and we really got to enjoy each place on a personal level. This little pub is a must stop if traveling to Achill Island.More
This tiny pub is so worth a visit if you are in Achill! It is tiny inside but it has so much character & charm. Service was excellent & the Guinness superb.
Lovely pub but no welcome on entering and leaving the place!barman spoke with an english accent,so maybe he not aware that mayo is the county of great welcome to visitors.👎
The loveliest pint I have had in a while. Cosy set up where you can imagine sitting for hours with a pint and a paper. Worth stopping off off. Be warned they only take cash.
This is definitely one of the most welcoming pubs we have ever visited. We went as total strangers and left with new friends. The people in this bar are so friendly. The girl behind the bar was great to get the chat going. It’s a very small bar with...an open fire and a wonderful atmosphere. The old Photos and memorabilia just added to the experience that made you feel you were drinking way back in time. This a must do.Go for 1 drink And be prepared to have manyMore
Thi spub is so quaint that it is a magnet to all who happen to hear of it and can find it tucked away off the roadside. So many old and historic paintings and prints recalling Ireland in earlier times. With old sewing machine tables...and a roaring fire it truly is a delight.More
Great little find. Smallest pub on Achill, but biggest surprise, welcome from the locals was tremendous.
The illuminated Guinness sign outside this tiny house caught our attention so we headed in for some lush pints. The barmaid was friendly, engaging and runs a beautifully quaint pub which offers the warmth of an open fire. Lovely spot.
We went to Lynotts pub twice during our visit to Achill. We loved the look of the place and that it's filled with locals. The Guinness was so tasty and the live music on a Friday night was excellent. Would love to come back again...soon.More
