Went for dinner to ”Mankeli” (mangle or wringer) and it was a pleasant surprize. The food was tasty and good. Also the portion size was good. The timing of the serving could have been a bit better. Also after a busy day the service was...a bit slow. So all in all the food was good, service could have been better. I do recommend. Will visit my self again.More

Restaurant Mankeli has a very carefully planned menu: not too full but with loads of interesting choices. The waitress serving us was really sweet and helpful. Totally lovely starter and quite fine main dish, too.

With its nice and sunny terrace in the Krapinhovi manor area Mankeli offers a good spot for drinks and some snacks. More serious but still casual food is also available, as well as seating inside, if the weather is not good. We can confirm the...lack of attendance by the waiters, and after a awhile we understod that you must go to the counter to place your order. We strarted outside with some appetizers (Mankelin palat), some homemaid salami and asparagus, and both were quite tasty. Before the main course arrived, a rain shower made us to seek shelter inside. I had the fish of the day (pikeperch) with some vegetables. I was waiting for some freshly fried fish, but the whole portion was litterally flooded with melted buttersauce. Almost unedible, and certainly not worth the price, almost 30 EUR. My husbands pork cutlet was slightly better, but overcrusted. Overall, nice place but food was not worth the price.More

Next to Krapihovi, Mankeli provides more casual and modernized atmosphere for lunch or dinner. Nice and sunny terrace overlooking the Krapihovi main building and surroundings with garden of herbs and greens. Great place to have a drink or dine with your friends and family..

We gave two opportunities for the restaurant and it failed us on both times. First time I booked table for us on Mother's Day and they were only opened for the season. Things did not work too well. Staff wasn't very friendly, they took plates...before we finished the meal and so on. Starter were buffet and very good indeed. Main courses did not work out as well as buffet did. Portions were really small and and steaks arrived well done instead of raw. There were many things that went wrong. I gave them feed back and we got another change to have a buffet lunch there later on the summer. I booked the table well ahead and few days earlier received call that they do not do lunch buffet at all on Sunday, could we possible change the day, at this point it was too late for us to change the day. We also wanted to book the earlier time, but they say they open for lunch at the time they booked us in, but when we arrived 20 minutes earlier than booked, there were lot of people eating their lunch. So instead of using only voucher for the payment, we had to paid for quite a bit as we had to order from ala carte menu. This time we were all happy with the food, none of us was brave enough to order a steak. But the way they were running a business and how the service was, I don't think any of us will go back again. Place is nice with big terrace, though.More

Outside of Helsinki, some 30 km in the country side, near by a golf course there is restaurant Krapi and an other building restaurant Mankeli. It is an old wooden building in nice area. Relaxed service and really good fish I had there. Good work...in the kitchen! There is also a savusauna or smoke sauna that can be booked for a bigger group of guests. Very nice, since it is By the lake!More

This is a very good restaurant. Food made of local products and it is delicious. It's located very close to a Golf course and suits well having dinner or pint afterwards. Can warmly recommend this restaurant.

Nice outdoor area to sit and enjoy the sun and food or just a cold drink. The house hamburger is a favourite selection. Sunny weekends can be busy.

Since in the area we tried this restaurant for lunch. Buffee lunch looked horrible to me so I took a goat cheese sallad with extra chicken instead. It took a while to get it and it tasted...well, it was edible. Nice location but food and...service needs improvement, definitely.Easy access but stairs to bathroom. Decor a bit boring. We went with our family to Mankeli for a lunch during our summer holiday. The milieu of Tuusulanjärvi and Krapi is one of a kind. The restaurant is quite new and the Scandinavian wooden plain interior is beautiful. Overall the food was good but nothing...that special. The salad and soup buffet was the better part of the deal. The home made tomato soup was excellent and the four different salads were quite good (a bit too much mayo to our liking). The wasabi salmon was small sized and had no wasabi to taste, although it was not bad at all. The real let down was the feta zucchini vegetable patty which was really dry and tasteless. Coffee and dessert were fine. The service was kind but way too slow. We waited for the main course for 20 minutes even though the lunchroom was quite empty. When we arrived the salads were nearly ran out and they only refilled those after 15 minutes. They also should fix their washing machine since most of the plates and cutlery were too dirty. The biggest problem of the lunch is with out a question the price tag of 16 euros (8 euros per child). With that price you expect a great lunch experience and great food. I really liked the place and the setting but I cannot honestly recommend Mankeli lunch since its just too low value for the money.More
