High in the sky it offers 360 degree views. Only a short drive from Tekapo town it's a great place to visit. There is a toll gate at the bottom of the hill but the $8 fee is well worth it.

Small eatery but top coffee and cheap too. Go early to avoid being crowded out. Or you can sit outside and enjoy the view but it can get windy.

Stopped here after staying overnight in Lake Tekapo village. Small charge to use access road but well worth it for the scenery. Good and not overpriced cafe with excellent choice. Plenty of parking space.
The Astro Cafe is handy for a coffee and snack whilst taking in the fabulous views from this observation point. The staff were also very friendly and their are toilets making it a convenient stop of point to enjoy the outstanding views.More
