A charming and high quality restaurant.

Our group of eight enjoyed two high quality lunches at this charming restaurant over our week stay in Guadeloupe. We were happy to be guided by Chef Jean-Francois and glad we followed his advice. The fish dishes were superb and nicely presented. Jean Francois and his crew were welcoming, provided excellent service and made the whole experience great fun. It was clear Chez Margaux has a loyal and repeat following.

One of the best restaurants in Le Gosier

I came in on Friday evening, but I came too late. The owner was very nice and told me to come the next day. When I arrived the following day, he remembered me, gave me a table, recommended a dish, (which I took) and the food was delicious. The owner is vary gracious, kind, personable, accommodating, and just seems to have a great spirit about him. I returned the next day. Definitely one of the best places that I tried on my week-long trip to Guadeloupe. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all travelers.

Great Christmas dinner, lovely host!!

We spent a really lovely night at chez Margot! The service was perfect, we really loved our host. The menu was a mouthwatering mixture of dishes. The food was delicious and beautifully arranged. All in all it was a little expensive, but still worth the price. If you are in the Gosier area, chez Margot is definitely a must!

Overhyped and way overpriced, food is ok

We were having lunch here and the food was ok but way too expensive. The owner is a good seller and offers / pushes you to take a cocktail and starters. We had Samosa as starter they were quiet good, as main dish we had Trio of Tuna and Shrimps it was ok. The dessert, Panna Cotta and Pancakes (not freshly made) were below average. For drinks we had 2 Planteurs and two glasses of wine. Total was 140€. Summary ok but the price is not justified.

Made a reservation via Whatsapp. Ordered the delicious trio seafood sampler, pina colada, and spicy chocolate eclair dessert. All declicious. Jean-Francois kind host/chef was welcoming and took us on a tour in PTP a few days later.

Very good food, the plate of tuna was delicious. Also the service is very good, they recommend you and take care that you have a pleasant meal. They make you feel very welcome in Guadeloupe. A place to recommend and repeat.

Thrilled souls & taste buds

My family and I had a very intimate culinary experience “Chez Margaux”. Chef Francois made us feel like home but with far better food :). Our souls were relaxed and our taste buds were thrilled. For certain we had our best fresh seafood experience. Francois’s attention to details, his sincere love for his family and life gave us a unique taste of Guadeloupe. We’re planning to go back so Francois we’re looking forward for our next dinner! :) We’ve have definitely memories that matter with you.

Good fare full of flavors

Probably one of the best and flavorful meals you can have around Point a Pitre. The chef and his team are talented and there is plenty of flavor on the plate. Remember it is island food and as such it is worth the visit.

Delicious experience

Having dinner here was a highlight of our trip to Guadeloupe. The ambience, service and food were really first rate. The rum-doused crepes were a real highlight. We highly recommend this restaurant.

5-star dinner experience!

We came as a party of 9 and had a fantastic time! Food was good, drinks were delicious, spot was cute, and if you ask nicely you get a pic with the chef which makes for a great souvenir! We had so much fun

Our chosen restaurant for lunch was Chez Margaux, cutely named after the owner’s daughter. It was a very attractively decorated, typically tropical restaurant. The owner greeted us warmly, making suggestions about our meal. He was a most engaging man, a larger-than-life character who clearly enjoyed a warm relationship with our fellow diners. We shared an appetiser of vegetable samosas, followed by larger and smaller variants of the ‘plat du jour’. This comprised tuna strips (very tender), tuna tartare, octopus in a mildly spicy sauce, sweet potatoes and salad. It was as easy on the eye as it was delicious on the palate. We finished off with coconut panne cotta with a mango and passion fruit coulis. This slipped down perfectly. Our genial host offered us rum flavoured with vanilla - we respectfully declined due to driving rules / abstinence. Not to be outdone, our host gave us some vanilla pods from his kitchen - commending my wife on her use of French. We were treated to some videos on his phone of a previous visit to England where he stayed in a Manor House - it looked great. We totally enjoyed eating at this restaurant - it was such a joyful experience.
